Can always rely on Tokyu Stay in terms of staff in service and standards. This is right outside the Gotanda metro station and a short walk from the JR station which makes connectivity to the airport and major areas very convenient. Neighbourhood is convenient and not too crowded so it is nice to be there. Facilities slightly on the older side as I noticed a chipped bathtub and toilet. Hairdryer in the room was also not working initially. While there’s a kitchenette limited cookery there’s not even a bowl or a large spoon. I had to eat my noodles out of the pot. Would have expected these to be basic provision. There was a soup ladle. Not sure why. Maybe it’s just the room. But I will consider staying again if the price is right.

Tokyu Stay Gotanda is located near the train station (Yamanote & Toei Asakusa Lines). I had a wonderful stay there. Maybe slightly pricey (but I think that’s normal for hotels in Japan) but my room comes with a kitchenette, kettle, small stove, microwave, trouser presser, air conditioner, heating, washing machine with dryer, hairdryer and toiletries are on the ground floor lobby for your taking. There’s also a coffee & tea maker, ice machines complimentary from the hotel. Except for drinks from vending machines-that you have to buy. So overall it’s worth the stay.

The location is super convenient indeed. The room is not as clean as expected, dust everywhere. Please be careful when open the window. Service is very good and can check in early by paying 1000yen per hour.

I requested a quiet room at check-in, but to my surprise, there was another building just a meter outside my window, directly facing my room. It felt incredibly claustrophobic. However, the transportation is quite convenient. As for the other in-room facilities, many others have already commented on them.

The staff were lovely and provided great recommendations. The room was fully equipped, even with a washer/dryer, which was super convenient for laundry. The location is fantastic, very close to Gotanda Station – just cross the street! It's a neighborhood that's not too crowded but has everything you need. There's a drugstore and 7-Eleven right next to the hotel, and a wide variety of restaurants, including popular chains like Coco Ichibanya, Ippudo, Ootoya, Yoshinoya, Katsuya, and even delicious izakaya and yakiniku spots behind the hotel. This place is perfect for those who want to be close to a train station but prefer to avoid the overly touristy areas.
