Good location old capsule hotel. What annoyed me is the following. You need to check out every single day. You cannot leave anything in your capsule so you have to move everything twice every day. Let’s say you want to go to your room; you meed to do the following. Wait for elevator. There is probably a line so you have to wait for the second elevator. Then take off your shoes in a 1sq meter place with 5 other people. Then wait in line to hand in your shoe locker keys and get your item locker key. Then wait for the elevator again twice to get to your floor. This all feels arbitrary and unnecessary.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Associa. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travelers using JR trains — direct access to or very close to the station made moving around effortless, even with luggage.

The main selling point of this place is its location, since it's situated in the heart of Shinjuku center at a fraction of the cost. Additionally, it has a sauna and a big public bath for those who want to experience Japanese tradition in the city. The major drawback is the daily check-in and check-out, which might turn off tourists who mostly stay at the hostel all day. However, you can stay the whole day for a fee.

This is my go-to capsule hotel whenever I’m in Shinjuku. However, if you are conscious of cleanliness and looking for a hostel to stay, this is not right for you, as you need to check out by midday per their policy. Cleanliness isn't their thing, but the location is almost perfect at an affordable price. You can book breakfast, but it's from a different location, so it’s kinda a hassle. Overall, affordability and locations are advantages of this place.

I had a very pleasant experience overall. The capsule bed was clean and comfortable, and essentials such as towels, toothbrushes, earplugs, and pyjamas were provided. I also found the designated areas for suitcases and other personal belongings in the capsule room very practical. The only downside for me was the luggage storage situation. During the booking process, it was stated that luggage storage was available, but after booking I was informed that storage is not possible after check-out (I couldn’t cancel anymore). Fortunately, there are lockers nearby the hotel, so I was able to manage. However, it would be better if this restriction were communicated clearly before booking, as I specifically was looking for an accommodation where luggage storage was available.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience feel very welcoming. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-designed, with all the essentials provided. The amenities, especially the breakfast buffet and lounge areas, were impressive and added real value to my stay. The location was convenient, close to local attractions and easy transport links. Overall, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it perfect for both leisure and business travel. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and great service.
