Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-Gai - Tokyo Reviews

This is our third stay here, and once again, we've experienced the meticulous and thoughtful service typical of a well-developed hospitality industry in a developed country. One time, my child had a nosebleed and stained the sheets during our stay. When I spoke to the front desk about compensating for the damage, not only did the staff not ask for compensation, but they immediately noted our room number and arranged for the sheets to be changed promptly. Another time, my child spilled juice in the restaurant. The restaurant staff immediately helped clean up and tidied the area, then set up a new table for us to continue our meal. These might seem like minor incidents in the daily work of hotel staff, but for us as guests, they made us feel incredibly warm and cared for.

The location is great, about a 10-20 minute walk to the subway station, Ginza shopping street, and Tokyo Tower. While it's a bit of a stroll, it offers excellent value for money, and the room itself is quite spacious, comparable to a high-end business hotel back home like Ji Hotel or Atour. Inside the room, there's a large sofa bed, perfect for extra luggage or belongings. You can easily fit two or three suitcases without feeling cramped. The view from the window in my room was also lovely. The street where the hotel is located has a charming vibe, with many buildings featuring orange facades. The hotel fridge is stocked with complimentary drinks, which are refilled by the housekeeping staff every day. There are also plenty of 24-hour convenience stores downstairs, which is super convenient. Check-in is fully self-service and contactless, using a machine and your passport.

Facilities: Great Cleanliness: Good Environment: Very quiet neighborhood, perfect for a stroll. It's an 8-minute walk from Daimon Station, and there are many great food options nearby. Shinbashi is also within walking distance. Service: Excellent. This is always my choice whenever I come to Tokyo.

Good hotel. A bit on the older side and maintenance needs to be more worried about repairing and appearance (like avoiding to use cheap furniture for the microwave stand on 11th floor or maintenance in the hot public bath on 13th floor)... other than that the room was comfy and price affordable.

The target hotel of the trip is the place which not necessarily transfer the subway from NRT airport, this is!!! The place is in the centre of city, close to wverywhere. The facility is good, hot water to shower, nice service to answer our question using english. Excellent and recommend.

It was a good experience, the location is outstanding. The spa area is also great.

The more experienced staff at the front desk were great in every aspect, but the less experienced ones seemed nervous and hesitant when they had to speak English with foreigners. The main issue was that one evening, after buying water from the 13th floor and returning to my room, I didn't pay much attention. The next day, I realized my credit card was missing. It was either dropped in the hallway or still in the room, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I asked the hotel, but they had no news. I don't know if another guest picked it up or if it was taken by one of the foreign cleaning staff from the floor in my room.

The room was quite spacious for its price, easily accommodating two 24-inch suitcases. It's also not too far from the subway station, about a 7-8 minute walk. Overall, the hotel environment is pretty good.

The hotel is a bit old, but generally clean. There's a large public bath on the top floor. I always stay here for business trips because it's close to my company. There are quite a few foreign tourists. It's located in the Italia-gai area, surrounded by office buildings. A taxi from Ginza only costs about 2000 yen.

The hotel is located near Hammatsucho train station, however easy access from Shimbashi Station as well. The receptionist staff at the hotel are all very friendly. Shout out to Yasaki and Thana who had wholehearterdly assisting me as I accidentally overbooked extra nite. With their assistance, I managed to get full refund for 1 night. Really grateful.

Facilities: Comprehensive, they have everything you could need. Cleanliness: Quite clean, and the lobby smells nice. Environment: There's a train station nearby, so it can be a bit noisy. However, it's very close to Ginza, which is convenient. Service: Not very satisfied. One or two of the front desk staff members were quite arrogant, and I wonder if that's how they treat Chinese guests. On the first night of my stay, a dishevelled drunkard was banging on my door at 3 or 4 in the morning, which was very unsettling for someone staying alone. But the hotel didn't provide immediate assistance. The next day, when we inquired at the front desk, all we got were a few 'sumimasen's and no real response... Summary: Facilities are decent, location is good, but service is a matter of opinion.

The hotel is conveniently located with many subway lines nearby, making it easy to get anywhere! You can even walk to Tokyo Tower, Odaiba (via the Yurikamome line), Kamakura, and Senso-ji Temple. However, the hotel has a major flaw! Rooms on one side are incredibly noisy. A train passes by almost every minute, practically until 1 AM! Unless you get a quiet room, sleeping will be impossible. (Definitely request a quiet room). Initially, I was given a double room on the left side after exiting the elevator. Due to extending my stay, I moved to a triple room on the right side of the elevator, and that one was very quiet (I also requested a quiet room). There's no Chinese-speaking staff, except for one Japanese lady at the front desk who spoke a little Chinese on my last day during check-out. All other front desk staff were from Southeast Asia, so don't expect Chinese service. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and a convenience store, which is handy for food and drinks. The breakfast isn't really suited for Chinese palates, so you might consider booking without breakfast. There isn't a Don Quijote nearby for shopping, but there's a pharmacy about a ten-minute walk away. Dining is easy. There are plenty of restaurants on the street leading to Tokyo Tower, including Ippudo Ramen, yakiniku (grilled meat), and Torikizoku.

Environment: For this location, a room of this size is quite good, and the value for money is excellent. It's about a 1km walk to Ginza, and about 6-7 minutes to Shiodome subway station Exit 8. You can walk directly to Shinbashi Station (JR), which has direct connections to Haneda and Narita airports. Shiba Park is also within walking distance. Facilities: There's a public bath, and coin-operated laundromats are available on different floors, which is very convenient.
