Response from Property: Thank you for your feedback. As several statements here are factually incorrect, we would like to set out the facts.1.The deposit is a refundable security deposit. When paid by credit card it is processed as an authorization hold only — no charge is made. The hold is normally released the same evening, once the room has been cleaned and confirmed to be without damage; depending on your card issuer, it can take up to 7 days to disappear from your statement. The amount shown on the booking page (JPY 25,050) is an upper limit; the amount actually held is often lower, as it was for this reservation. The deposit requirement and amount are disclosed in advance on the booking page and in the Accommodation Terms and Conditions agreed to before booking. Nothing is hidden, and no amount is "charged later."2.We do not copy or retain images of credit cards. Card registration is processed entirely through an encrypted third-party platform. The hotel can view only the last four digits and does not store the full card number, security code, or any image of the front or back of the card. The description in this review is inaccurate.3.Presenting valid identification at check-in is required by Japanese law. Foreign nationals without an address in Japan are required by law to present their passport. This applies to all accommodations in Japan and is not a condition set by our property.These conditions apply equally to every guest and are stated in full before booking. You are welcome to ask questions in advance, but please understand that the deposit and check-in requirements are fixed and are not subject to change or negotiation. We apply them consistently to all guests, without exception.
