Here's a breakdown of my stay: **Pros:** 1. **Great Location:** It's about a 10-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple. 2. **Spacious Beds:** The beds were big enough for two adults and two children (ages 9 and 7) to sleep comfortably. Plus, there was no extra charge for the kids, which was a nice bonus. 3. **Delicious Breakfast:** We ordered breakfast for two, and the kids got to eat beef curry for free. It was surprisingly good! **Cons:** 1. **Poor Breakfast Service:** The staff at the first-floor restaurant had a pretty indifferent attitude, which really put a damper on the start of our day. 2. **Unclean Lobby Restroom:** The restroom in the lobby on the first floor was not clean at all, which is unacceptable. **Overall:** Despite the minor issues, the **value for money was quite good**, especially considering it was around Christmas and close to New Year's, and we paid about 1500 yen.

The facilities are pretty good, and the self check-in and self-service luggage storage were very convenient. It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, and while it's next to the Tsukuba Express (TX Line), you usually need to transfer to get anywhere. However, being right next to Senso-ji Temple is super convenient for exploring. I was surprised to find that even with the window only opening a tiny crack, you could still see the Tokyo Skytree!

Highly satisfied. It was very quiet, and the location made it convenient to get anywhere. Senso-ji Temple is within walking distance, and subway access is also very easy. The staff were incredibly friendly. Despite being quite busy, it remained peaceful with no disturbance from other guests.

Nice and cozy room. Super clean. Facilities was great. Just opt for the larger room because the small room is really tight. Barely has enough space to put your bags. If you're travelling solo than it will be fine.

I am so happy I came back to this hotel after many years. It is still so great! The location is perfect. It is very close to the subway Metro and JR station, so travel is very easy. Also, it is not far from good shopping spots. For this location, the price is very good value! The staff are so kind and nice. They are always friendly and happy to help. The room is very clean and comfortable, just like the last time. I am very happy with my second stay. This hotel is highly recommended!

I recently stayed at a hotel in Tokyo and had such a positive experience. From the moment I made the booking, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially towards foreigners. They made the entire process smooth and easy, ensuring I had all the details I needed for my stay. The hospitality truly stood out — the staff were polite, patient, and always ready to answer my questions, whether it was about transportation, local attractions, or small requests during my stay. It really made me feel comfortable and taken care of in a new city. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Tokyo, especially international travelers. The location was convenient, the service was excellent, and the friendly approach of the staff made the experience memorable.

I stayed for 6 nights, and it was quite peaceful. Just a two-minute walk away (turn right then left from the exit), there's a supermarket. Every evening before heading back to the hotel, I'd pop in to buy some milk and breakfast items. The prices were very reasonable. My go-to was to grab things that were either a bit of a splurge or hard to come by back home – honestly, I bought so much I couldn't possibly eat it all, haha! Sometimes I'd even buy some beef to stir-fry back at the hotel or use it for noodles for breakfast. In the evenings, if I wasn't back too late, I'd treat myself to some tuna sashimi. Absolutely delightful! If you happen to stay here, I've got a can of beer in the fridge for you! It was only when I was about to leave that I realized how incredibly convenient the transportation was. Just a three-minute walk to the left from the exit, you'll find the Kikusui-bashi (菊屋橋) bus stop for lines 上46 and 草23, making it easy to get to Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon in Asakusa. Or, cross the street and take a bus in the opposite direction to Ueno. Ueno's biggest shopping complex, 'Panco Ya,' was great for browsing. HABIS, an internet-famous cake shop, had no queue, and there was a quiet matcha dessert place. I even bought some clothes as it was sale season, so prices were very friendly. The bus stop in Ueno is right next to the historic Matsuzakaya department store. From Ueno, you can also catch a bus to Narita Airport. It takes about 40 minutes, which is quick and comfortable, though it might be on the pricier side compared to other options, but it's very easy to find. Oh, and there's another supermarket just a few minutes' walk away – a local one, the kind where residents shop. You can buy matcha products there directly; I think they make great souvenirs. Also, Asakusa Rox is not far. I just quickly checked it out, but frankly, I didn't think it was particularly special. It felt like a very generic shopping mall with common stores like Daiso, 3Coins, and Muji. Not really worth a dedicated visit; worth only a quick peek if you're already in the area after visiting Senso-ji Temple.

A very comfortable and satisfying experience! The lady at the front desk was so warm and patient. It was cute how she spoke English, and she even tried to communicate with me in Chinese, afraid I wouldn't understand. She was really thoughtful! The bed was also very comfortable. I'm very satisfied and truly grateful to the beautiful and kind lady at the front desk. I'm so happy!

Highly recommended for families visiting Tokyo. The room was clean, comfortable and well kept throughout our stay. Location is perfect — right in Asakusa with lots of food, convenience stores and sightseeing spots within walking distance. The kids enjoyed the area so much because there were snacks everywhere! Service was excellent — staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable experience at this hotel and would definitely stay again on our next trip.

WWangxiaoyuThe service was excellent, with a 24-hour front desk and daily housekeeping. The location is super convenient, with a convenience store right outside and close proximity to the subway. The only downside is that the room is quite small, even for Japanese standards; it was a bit of a squeeze to even fit a laptop on the desk. (Ignore the non-hotel food pictures.)

MM518405****This hotel is pretty average, neither good nor bad. I feel like its price is inflated just because it's close to Senso-ji Temple. The location is indeed very convenient, but the downside is that it's on a busy street with a lot of traffic noise. The soundproofing in the rooms is also quite mediocre; you can clearly hear doors opening and closing in the hallway. Luckily, it quieted down once I fell asleep. The upside is that it's very close to various coffee shops in Kuramae, and the front desk staff are quite friendly. It's also a chain hotel, so all the information on their website is comprehensive. I'd say if location is your top priority, you could stay here, but there's nothing particularly outstanding or terrible about it.

Ssulee17Dormy Inn Ueno-Okachimachi boasts an excellent location, being just the shortest walk from Ueno Station. On our way, we even spotted a Torikizoku sign, and we ended up dining there one evening. Of course, with so many restaurants right across from the hotel and in the surrounding area, my 'choice paralysis' definitely kicked in! The main reason we chose Dormy Inn was for its large public bath, complete with complimentary popsicles and Yakult after a relaxing soak. Breakfast was also fantastic; the fried shrimp in the morning was absolutely divine. The breakfast was so substantial that we stayed full throughout our two-day stay, meaning we even skipped their complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night ramen) in the evenings. The hotel only has one elevator, so there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. From our room, we had a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Despite being right next to the Shuto Expressway, there was absolutely no traffic noise, which speaks volumes about their excellent soundproofing.

GGuest UserExcellent location in a quiet area, close to a subway station and Ueno Park. Self-service check-in. Fully equipped shower and toilet facilities, self-catering and self-heating options, a refrigerator, and a washing machine. The room is relatively large and comfortable compared to typical hotel rooms, clean, and features a small balcony with a clothes dryer. Recommended for couples!

GGuest UserOur experience at this apartment was excellent from start to finish. First of all, the location is ideal; it's in a great neighborhood with easy access to public transport, shops, and restaurants. The apartment is even more spacious than it appears in the photos. There was ample room for our group, and we never felt cramped. It was a real pleasure to have so much space to unwind. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to book this apartment again in the future.

CChristinaxuClose to metro lines, easy to get around. Just around 20 mins away from busy area like Shinjuku and Ginza. I stayed on the highest floor which gave me the bird-eye view of the tower in the area. Have a 7/11 right below the hotel, it serves my tummy well during late-night craving for food!

KKsenia2712I'd like to point out the apartment's excellent location: the building is right next to the metro exit. The view from the balcony is excellent. The neighborhood is very quiet, with plenty of convenience stores nearby, a 10-minute walk to the SkyTower shopping center, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. It's interesting that when you step outside, it's very quiet, but in the apartment with the open balcony, you can hear a lot of traffic noise. There was enough space for three of us, but the fold-out sofa isn't very comfortable. We used a mattress, an extra blanket, and a blanket underneath ourselves to soften it, but overall, we didn't have any problems, such as back pain. The apartment includes an iron, a microwave, and other kitchen appliances. There's a washing machine, but it wasn't plugged in, so we didn't bother fixing it ourselves. There was a hair dryer, but it was very weak and dusty. When you turn it on, it starts to smell burnt, so we didn't use it. The apartment itself is in good condition, but it feels like it could quickly become too old. Aside from the hair dryer, there was a dirty sheet in the linen set. We informed the owner, who apologized and offered to send a new set, but we only found another sheet. We also mentioned that there would be three of us staying, but the ”sofa” wasn't made, so we had to make it ourselves.

WWeena_NokI ain't sure why a lot of people left a very bad comment regarding this property, the room size is quite big compared with JP standard (we got room at 6 floor with 2 beds (5ft size) for 2 person) the location is good (a walking distance to Kuramae station 200-350m (for Toei Asakura & Oedo line), surrounded with good restaurants such as Ramen, Tonkatsu (authentic one open since 1977), origin Japan (ready to eat JP meals & side dishes), etc. including a good Patisserie shops, a convenience stores (Lawson, Family mart, 7-11, local supermarket). Yes they have a rule regarding towels (1/ea/2 nights) & cleaning services (not on daily basis but if you want you can ask them to do), the guy at the receptionist may not always smile but if you asked something he's always respond & support, they have a common area (2nd floor) which there is kitchen, kitchen utensils, microwave, coffee machine, dining table, couches and air conditioning (and they are allowed us to use with free of charge) personally my friend & I would booked this hotel if we visit Tokyo next time.
