The hotel is right next to Ruijiang River on Shinjuku Line. The traffic is very convenient. The room space is OK, but the pillow is difficult to sleep. The first night I slept well with my pillow. The last 3 nights were sleepable with my own clothes. The faucet in the bathroom was old-fashioned. The hot and cold water had to be adjusted separately. The last time we were at Tokyo, we were at the Kinshicho area so this was the main motivation for us to book Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Kinshicho. The beds are comfortable as are the complimentary pyjamas that are laid out for you on the bed. My favorite feature of the room was the bathtub and it was good to have a dip at the end of a day. There is a laundry facility on the second floor which you can use to wash your clothes. Complimentary sachets of tea and coffee are available on the lobby for you to take up to your room. The clear point of improvement that I would suggest for it to have a ramp at its front entrance. As a result of this, guests would have to physically lift heavy suitcases up some steps to enter into the front lobby. It would be very useful and helpful to have some form of a ramp. I make particular highlight of the service. The staff at the receptionist's table are some of the most courteous and kindest people I have come across during my travels in particular the female staff member with long ponytail of Southeast Asian experience. I had four suitcases when I checked out and so I asked for her help to book a taxi to go to Haneda Airport. While careful to manage expectations, she promised to check with the taxi driver if four suitcases could be accommodated. She not only did this and confirmed that our four suitcases could go inside the taxi, but she physically helped load the suitcases onto the taxi while I went upstairs to check if there were anything left behind. We are very thankful for this staff member for her assistance.

We loved the hotel while we stayed. Room was small but larger than a typical Japanese standard and should not be a problem for a couple. All the space of the room was efficiently utilized. Room had a fridge and a hot pot. There are many electrical outlets, for example, at the bedsides. Window blind was impressive so that it was completely dark when we put on the blind. Free wifi was very fast and we did not have any problem with the network. An ice machine as well as a microwave was available on the second floor. Lobby was small. Amenities were to be picked up from the lobby. Staff was all very kind with a good command of English. Nishi-kasai Tokyo metro station was a stone's throw from the hotel. There is Y's Mart around the corner. Aeon (a much bigger market) is 10 minutes away if one walks. A few minor issues are obviously Tokyo downtown is somewhat far, about 40 minutes by metro. They did not provide water bottles, which we did not mind because of the reasonable price. All in all, we enjoyed the stay and would come back if we have a chance to visit.
