Hotels near Ochanomizu in Tokyo

I stayed at the hotel Juraku for a week during a business trip. It is a business hotel. I picked a double room. Still, it was very small by western standards. It was hard to find a place for one suitcase. Nevertheless, I found it clean, quiet and comfortable. The mattress was very firm by American standards. But I did not have any problems sleeping. The bathroom was tiny, but it had a nice bathtub and good water pressure. Wifi and wired internet worked pretty well. The restaurant was open only for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and had a lot of things to choose from. There were few western items, but everything was tasty. No English signs, so I had to use Google Translate app. Hotel staff was very helpful. I would not recommend this hotel to people who are sensitive to the smell of tobacco smoke. Even though I stayed on a non smoking floor, it still smelled like cigarettes in the elevator and in the hallways. In general, I was satisfied with this hotel. I would stay there again if I were traveling to Tokyo by myself. But I would probably look for a larger room if I travelled with someone else.

Great area with lots to do around, plus a two minute walk to the nearest train station! I loved it so much that I extended my stay here for a couple days more because I really enjoyed it. It also has a couple of good restaurants and cafe inside the hotel not to mention a convenient store so you literally never have to leave the area if you need anything!

I booked a single room and it was very clean and convenient having the subway station nearby. The staff were helpful and polite, breakfast was fair continental fare and the hotel was close to the Tokyo Dome where I had enjoyed shopping at the mall. It was close to Ueno and easy for me to get about Tokyo. My stay at this hotel made up for the earlier eventful days in Japan following non-operating train lines from Typhoon Hagibis which changed some of my travel plans. I used Ueno Station Hostel Original 1 near Ueno Station while traveling to Tokyo, Japan last year. You can experience a Japanese hotel famous for its capsule hotel. There is a station right in front of it, so I recommend it to tourists who have to use public transportation. You can get off the subway late at night and enter the hostel safely. The inside of the hostel is really clean. You can see several employees cleaning up every morning. Discard them all and replace them with new pillows and blankets. I used the bathroom together but it was good to clean it up. I went on a trip in winter and walked around outside all day, so it was cold, but warm water came out of the bathroom, so it was good. There was a convenience store just downstairs, so when I was hungry at night, I could look back on my day of traveling by buying and eating food from the convenience store.

For various reasons we had to extend our stay by another night and were pleased to do so. It allowed us to experience K’shiki restaurant as well as Tapas Molecular Bar which we were already booked into. Osamu Okazaki ensured that our check in went extremely smoothly and offered services which made us feel very welcomed. He really did relieve the stress that had been caused by the day’s events. The room was magnificent and allowed us to totally unwind. The hotel is close enough to places of interest to fill your time if needs be. The restaurants were exceptional. K’shiki with it’s vague nod towards italian cuisine was exceptional. We chose Chef’s Dinner Menu and each course was interesting and surprising. Service was exceptional. Tapas Molecular Bar is one of those restaurants which is really special in the world. It’s hard to write a review without ruining the surprises. Suffice to say with only seating for eight you really do need to consider your reservation well in advance. Chef Kento Ushikubo is as talented as it gets. His food is intense in taste, creative and in many cases just baffling. He could almost be a member of the Magic Circle with the illusions he creates. One of the most thoughtful and considerate people I have met, and meet him you do because he is with you preparing everything throughout the meal, you just wanted to applaud with a standing ovation at the end. He made it particularly special for our wedding anniversaries and I can’t say how because it would spoil another illusion. I was just staggered that with all our experience of eating throughout the world we were introduced to new experiences. Spoiler alert; I cannot believe his ‘powdered ice cream’ has not been ‘borrowed’ by other chefs. Sadly, unless we manage to return, some of those experiences will be a once in a lifetime event. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wish to stay at Akihabara. The hotel is very close to JR, Metro and Tsukuba Express which is very convenient to travel everywhere around Tokyo. Moreover, the Hotel has the drink vending machine provided on each floor and there is also a Family Mart opposite to the hotel. The room is very clean and neat. All standard amenities are provided including bottles of water. Bed are very comfortable and we can request the housekeeper to make up our room everyday. The breakfast is very unique and super delicious. You should try!

This place was totally excellent for me. The room was larger than I expected... not huge but pretty good for economy Tokyo standards. Lots of power outlets for my many devices. It was very quiet.. I think I only heard noise from another room once. Very good window shades for light isolation. The A/C was very good; important as it was a warm/humid week. Water pressure & temperature in the shower was great too. Wifi - I used a rental hot spot for security purposes so I can’t comment. Very close to metro & conbini (convenience store). Be prepared for an interesting kiosk used for payment, i.e. didn't pay at the front desk... but the staff helped me through the process.

It’s just wonderful to stay in ascott. It is just opposite to otemachi station (find exit C9). Best of all, it has a 24 hour gym, suitable for gym goers / and more importantly business travel. The room is bigger than most ordinary rooms in Tokyo, with art of state facilities. The staff here are attention, and helpful. Do consider if you have the extra budget 😊

Anyway, the location is good. It is good to be able to start anywhere in Tokyo and close to the station. Also, because it is an apartment type, there are few people who are buzzing in the corridor, and there are many convenience stores and super fast food restaurants around, so it is not troublesome for short or long term. The room is also well equipped, and it is the best to have a range first. It is important that there is a range early in the Vijiho. The cleaning is not good, and the desk and floor are a bit dirty. The humidifier of the air cleaner is not available in black mold. And the bath towel was a little moldy. Because the invisible part was a bit cluttered, the location is good and the facilities are good I think it would be better if I cleaned the cleaning firmly to keep the clean state.
