Panda themed hotel in a very convenient location in Ueno. It is just a few minutes away by foot to the subway lines, and it is a great place as your final hotel in Japan since the Keisei Ueno station (Skyliner to Narita) is nearby as well. Check-in was easy using a self-service kiosk with the guidance of staff. We were also given a panda themed tote bag which contained stickers and two file folders. In the hallway leading to the hotel rooms there were also edits of famous art pieces with pandas, and in the room, panda sheets, cushions and a huge plush. The hotel was refurbished just a few months back so everything was spotless. Would stay here again.

Being just next to the Senso-ji temple definitely makes this one of the more reasonable hotel options price wise. Staff are generally friendly, although I've had a much friendlier experiences in other smaller cities near Tokyo. Complimentary ramen during supper time is also a plus, although the taste is average. Many tourists from China and South Korea even during non peak periods, so do not be surprised if the hotel is not as clean as other cities with lesser tourists. Also be sure to book the room EXACTLY for how many guests are staying. I booked a 2 person room for 3 (as 3 people rooms were fully booked during my time there), and it was way too small. The front desk also didn't seem to happy about this arrangement when they found out, so do book correctly if possible. The hot spring at the basement was decent, and the black colour supposedly herbal hot pool was interesting. Although I felt itchy after using it, which my family members also felt the same, so the cleanliness of the pool might be questionable. Otherwise, there is also a hot tub and cold tub which looked clean. Still, the complimentary ice cream (during afternoon/night) and yakult (in the morning) are plus points, but then again a typical feature of Dormy hotels. Overall, a decent hotel especially if you want to be near the more famous tourist attractions in Asakusa, but will probably try to find better and cheaper hotels for subsequent visits to Tokyo.

During our second trip back to this hotel, we were back at the hotel at 1:00pm, front desk told us our luggage were already in the room. We thought ‘Great’. But then the guy told us if we want to check in early , it’s going cost us extra 5000yen. ‘Oh, nevermind…’ Again, I feel the hotel could do more but was not able to go extra for the customers. As I shared before, don’t expect about free water, coffee or water boiler like other basic Japan Hotels will offer.

My recent stay at THE GATE HOTEL ASAKUSA was a blend of adventurous exploration and varied service. While the hotel offered a unique experience, it had its ups and downs that left me with mixed feelings. Arriving at THE GATE HOTEL ASAKUSA from the subway proved to be quite a challenge, as the distance and limited transportation options made it difficult to access, especially with luggage in tow. However, once I finally reached the hotel, the awe-inspiring rooftop view and surroundings compensated for the arduous journey. The staff at THE GATE HOTEL ASAKUSA were a mixed bag. Some were courteous and friendly, making me feel welcomed, while others seemed disinterested and impolite, dampening the overall experience. The front desk personnel were efficient, but their warmness varied from one individual to another.

The location is very good. About 1 minute walk from the exit of Nakagotomachi Station A1 of Hibiya Line, I saw the building in front of me as soon as I went up the stairs and arrived without hesitation. There was no problem with dinner because there was a color 々 and a restaurant near the hotel during my stay. I used it for my mother, sister and three people, but the room was large, the toilet and bath were separate 々, the mini kitchen was attached and I used it comfortably. There was no noise in other rooms during the stay. The shower (mirable) in the bath was comfortable and I took a bath twice !! The receptionist and housekeeper staff also greeted me properly. It was a nice hotel overall. I would like to use it with my master this time.

Excellent location! I wanted to visit Sky tree in Tokyo and Asakusa hotel was in in a prime location. Not to mention the view was absolutely fantastic. We could see the Sky tree in all its glory right from the window of our hotel. The hotel itself was spacious which is a luxury in Japan. I mean, the whole experience was just amazing! Anytime I want to return to Tokyo, Asakusa hotel will definitely be at the top of my list.

Really 4.5 stars Good --The room was very spacious for 2 people there was a dining table for 6 with four chairs and 2 sofas besides the queen size bed. The size was large enough to hold 3 2 let bottles in the door. Newish furniture. Modern bordering on minimalist decor. It would be a nice studio apartment for a Batchelor wanting to impress a date. One of the fancier toilets I've ever experienced. View of Tokyo sky tree.1/4 mile to 2 subway stations and big supermarket and Ameyko street yet you don't feel your in a tourist trap.there are 4 washers available For only 56 rooms! Bad--or at least not so good...there is no daily housekeeping : to change the trash you notify the ”office” and leave the trash outside the door for pick up and you get a new trash bag. The ”front Desk”is not staffed physically. Transactions --check in, check out, etc are done via QR code. Front desk when the person is present may not speak English well ; you call a more proficient English soaker via a tablet at the front desk or e-mailing of texting them. I found e-mailing communication the most reliable and helpful. Tldr: this is nice place to stay to do laundry and if you are used to air bnb where you don't get housekeeping.

It was only used to spend one night between consecutive business trips. The room and the shared washroom, toilet, and shower room did not feel uncomfortable. It wasn't dirty. Breakfast was hot sandwiches. It was delicious. The drink is a drink bar form consisting of PET bottle tea and water and pack orange juice. It was a good time before going to work in the morning. You may not meet employees unless you have breakfast. Check-in uses the information described in the email, so you may be stressed if you are not a problem without relying on the inn.

The prostyle ryokan is located just outside Of the heart of Asakusa on a busy road. The noise of the road cannot be heard at all inside the ryokan. It’s a short walk to the center of Asakusa and the temple. There are many great restaurants nearby. The hotel has a shabu shabu restaurant. The ryokan is clean, people at the reception are very helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious by Tokyo standards and the beds quite comfortable. We had a room with a private shower and a separate bath tub outside, very nice to soak in the early morning (when it’s not to hot yet). There was also a balcony with chairs and a table —but temperatures didn’t allow us to use it. The room is wel appointed and has everything you need. It has a clean but traditional Japanese atmosphere. The Japanese breakfast is fantastic and highly recommended, wel worth the money.

This hotel is truly great! The rooms are big enough for the three of us to stay in comfortably. They have the best staff whom provided us with great service. The location of this hotel is also located in a very convenient location where lots of attractions are in walking distance and there are lots of subway stations also within walking distance. Overall me and my family had a great visit to gooey and a wonderful stay at this hotel.

Our family booked two rooms for three nights at the KOKOHOTEL Residence Asakusa Tawaramachi. I mainly chose the hotel because it is in Asakusa, which would make getting around Ginza,Shibuya. We returned a little early at 2:30 pm and I asked if we could check in a little early and they allowed us to. I asked about our luggage, and they noted it was already in our rooms. I guess I could have checked in a little earlier. The room itself was very nice and clean. The bathroom was also very luxurious and clean. The shower had excellent water pressure and heat levels. Front desk staff are vevry friendly. especially the beautiful staff Fukui san did help us a lot of. She was so sweet and kindly. We stopped by FUKUI many times with our problems such as restaurant reservations and Disney ticket purchases, but each time they helped us with a wonderful smile. she smile seemed to solve all our problems and was very reassuring. It's a perfect 5 star hotel in my opinion and one that everyone should experience at least once.

The hotel is very convenient. Not that bery accessible compared to the other Monday ueno but i find it more peaceful and relaxing. It is still very near to the station about 6mins walk. Plenty of convenience store on every block. Plus the fact that the location is near the ameyoko market. Just some 12mins of walking I think. This is our very first travel with my family alone, with my 4 yo son and my 14 yo daughter. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and attentive to your needs. The room is very clean amd spacious for the three of us. Will definitely book again on this hotel. Plus they did store our luggages before our flight after the 10am check. I get it back at 2pm before going to the airport. The hotel is very secured and safe too with passcode doors.

The cleanliness, service, and customer service were amazing! ! We stayed with 4 women, and the room was very spacious and reasonably priced. Convenience store is also nearby which is good! The bathroom, bed, and shelves were Japanese-style and extremely beautiful. There are plenty of amenities, and the hair dryer has good performance. We also have Japanese-style amenities such as tabi socks, so it's also recommended for foreigners! Above all, the staff was very kind and I felt very comfortable staying there!
