Read the reviews AFTER I'd booked my stay - BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. Older building, needs some additional touch-ups; nothing that really affected our stay. Large, clean room, with a bigger than average mini-fridge (& freezer) AND a microwave. Brought food with me, my companion was glad to have the opportunity to warm it up. AC worked well, King bed was comfortable, and TV channels included the chance to watch Stanley Cup playoffs! Felt secure with the digital door and a dead-bolt.
Royal Restaurant next door, Olympic diner across the street, easy to walk to both. It's not a luxurious place, but it was MORE than adequate for our stay, and the $ was right! Didn't use the shower, so not able to comment on water pressure, but the toilet in our first floor unit was powerful. Not noisy at all, did hear the upstairs guest occasionally, no big deal. Saw one small spider (just like being at home!), no other bugs to speak of. Check in was fine (staff was friendly and helpful), I would stay again if the need arose.
