Water in bathroom was boiling hot (incl. shower and toilet) and it took about 5 min full running water until it reached at least an ambient temperature. The bedroom was also additionally heated up by the bathroom - not very comfortable during summer. The issue was obviously known to the concierge who asked me for how long I left the water running. I asked to simply fix this. Upon my return at around 9 pm, the reception was idle and the issue in the room remained - I had no chance switching rooms at that point. During check-out, I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay (for a reason) - when I reported the remaining issue, I got shrugged shoulders in response. I would not have expected such a rip-off from such a hotel.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 4 nights in early October, 2023. The hotel was gorgeous, and the rooms were quite spacious. The breakfasts were wonderful with many choices and the one night we had dinner in the restaurant the food was scrumptious. But, the best thing of all was the bar and bartender. I wish I knew his name as he was so wonderful to my 3 year old grandson when we arrived for a drink after a day of sightseeing in the area. Overall, a much-needed respite after 2 weeks of touring southern Germany with a 3-year-old!

Had a beautiful, comfy overnight, great dinner, lovely bar tender talk … we enjoyed our time out a lot especially cause of the old and historical interesting building… the hotel is perfectly situated-couple minutes and you are in the Centre of Freudenstadt- couple minutes and you can have a beautiful walk through the Black Forest…

Old stately hotel, see pictures. You shouldn't take one of the standard/classic rooms as they are very small and have no balcony. Large pool, but no retreat/relaxation area in winter. Breakfast and dinner were very good and very good service.

The hotel is really pretty and very quiet. The meals are very good. The SPA part, we expected something more sumptuous but... the swimming pool, the Hammam and the sauna are present and clean. one thing is missing: no shutter or blackout curtain in the room, hence our morning awakening. The bathroom linens would need to be renewed 😉

Ich kann hier nur von Katastrophalen Verhältnisse eine Bewertung abgeben. Das Gesamte Gebäude ist völlig veraltet und entspricht nicht im geringsten dem was auf den Bilder zu sehen ist Von einem 4 Sterne Haus müsste man wesentlich mehr erwarten als das was hier geboten wird. Die Zimmer sind sauber aber das Mobiliar ist völlig veraltet und in den 80er stehegeblieben. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber das ist auch schon das einzig positive. Ich hatte ein Zimmer ( Sweet ) genau über der Küche und hatte dementsprechend auch den Küchengeruch im Zimmer gehabt. Zudem war das Dunstabzugsrohr welches den Küchengeruch ableiten soll,völlig verrostet und konnte demnach den Dunst nicht ableiten.

Es ist ein altes Gebäude mit Eleganter älterer Einrichtung wo ich mich direkt wohl gefühlt habe.Das Essen ist einfach traumhaft und als Köchin kann ich das beurteilen! Preis Leistung stimmen hier absolut.Die Betten sind super gemütlich mit dicken Kissen und kuscheliger Decke!!! Einziger Minus Punkt ist das die Sauna vor 16 Uhr nicht über 73 Grad Temperatur erreicht hat, leider auch nach mehrmaliger Reklamation nicht.Am Pool konnte ich mich gut entspannen und werde wieder kommen!!!!

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit langer Geschichte und Tradition. Natürlich etwas in die Jahre gekommen und etwas baufällig, aber es wird gerade Schritt für Schritt renoviert. Ganz nachvollziehbar für ein Gebäude aus dem 18ten Jahrhundert. Unbeschreiblich schönes Flair und die Stimmigkeit in jedem Detail ist faszinierend. Wundervoll
