Hotel was friendly and clean, staff were very helpful. Found rooms and en suite bathroom both roomy and little shot of sherry in the room was a nice touch. Restaurant was fine a good quality was good also nice little bar area for after dinner drinks. Not much to do in the area so wandering around is probably not worth it but a nice place to stay the night or use as a base. Breakfast was included and was also excellent but they really do need to learn how to fry or poach a soft egg 😀. Definitely a little on the expensive side but it is peak season so I guess that’s when you make hay !. Parking is free but spaces are limited if hotel is full

We had a lovely stay at The Tongue Hotel – a beautiful and peaceful spot that feels like a real escape. The rooms were comfortable, and we had a nice view that made the experience even more relaxing. The surrounding area is stunning and perfect for walks. We especially enjoyed the walk to the castle and back – peaceful, scenic, and a great way to take in the landscape. The restaurant served delicious food for both dinner and breakfast, and the cosy little bar added a charming touch to the evenings. Altogether, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the Highlands.

We had a fantastic stay at the Tongue hotel. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful view. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Brad, who welcomed us into the hotel was a delight. He was a great ambassador for the hotel and went out of his way to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Fabulous staff, fabulous food, fabulous view BUT The hotel is child friendly and therefore peaceful unfriendly - we had a 3 year old running around the breakfast area screaming, other than that we would have given it a 5 star review.

A lovely small hotel with beautifully decorated rooms . From the outside the hotel looks like a small castle . Inside is small but tastefully done . We pre booked dinner at the restaurant since we were informed via email that there aren’t many options around or on the way to Tongue . The food was excellent although service was very slow as they made a mistake with our order .Breakfast was extraordinary with Scottish porridge , highland breakfast with eggs made to order , sausages, baked beans etc . All very well presented like a fine dine meal . Service was friendly and efficient at breakfast. Check in and check out was smooth and Marseilles at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Cons: Unhappy barman, small bed for two and ridiculous toilet size. Pros: good food and service (not bar). Expensive for what you get.

We were looking for a moment of luxury away from the camper van and we definitely found it here. Excellent service combined with comfort and delicious food. We would definitely visit this little piece of Highland heaven again.

Nicely run hotel with decent food options. Evening meal was nice but breakfast was quite slow and unimpressive. Rooms (well our room) was excellent, with a view over the lake, plenty of room and a nice little dram on offer. Bar is a bit functional so we went down to the Ben Loyal nearby after a bit, but the rest of the hotel is very well presented - is quite ££££ though so be warned. All in all... nice stay. Thanks
