Our experience was flawless, a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence. Our personal butler, 半夏 (Banxia), was the cornerstone of our exceptional stay. She met us promptly at the customer service center and whisked us away on a scenic boat ride directly to the hotel – a truly magical start. Banxia anticipated our every need, managing every detail from A to Z with remarkable grace and efficiency. Her attentiveness ensured our complete comfort and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. The arrival and check-in process were so seamless, it felt like a dream. We were effortlessly guided to our room, a sanctuary that surpassed all expectations. Describing the room in words simply wouldn't do it justice – it was a masterpiece of design and comfort. While Hengyitang Health Centre is undoubtedly a premium experience, the impeccable service, breathtaking ambiance, and meticulous attention to detail make it worth every penny. Good location 250m from Tongxiang railway station. Breakfast very good, many choice. Large room and full facility.

Clean room and in a good location. Convenient and near entrance to Wuzhen village.

Walking distance from the Wuzhen Xizha long distance bus station. The hotel is located opposite the road. Look for RUITING instead of Jiayuan as the Chinese and English name is differently worded. The room is big and clean. Breakfast is justified with the price. Mostly Chinese cuisine. Laundry is available. Two big and new washer together with a dry. A plus for us as we are traveling from one city to another. Reception staff Xiao Lu and Xiao Xu both rendered excellent services to us. Xiao Xu help us to carry our luggage to the lift entrance and recommended us where to eat and what time we should start our journey into the ancient town tour. Xiao Lu helps me with my Didi booking to Tongxiang Station. We also received a gift of the local delicacies Tips for those traveling from Hangzhou to Wuzhen. The best transportation is by bus. Take a bus from Hangzhou East Railway Station, bus platform located at the ground floor. Sharing the same building with a high speed train but different wings. Tell the taxi or Didii driver to drop you at the bus station entrance. Can buy a ticket on the spot. RMB45. Quite frequent. Back from Wuzhen, just grab to Tongxiang Station by taxi or Didi depending on your destination. Mine is back to Shanghai. Other destinations can buy bus tickets at the station where you stop

Peaceful Riverside Stay in Authentic Dongzha Shuijing Jingguan is a charming B&B set in a traditional riverside house located in Dongzha, one of the two main sections of Wuzhen. Wuzhen is easily one of the most beautiful ancient water towns in China, just a 30 minute high speed train ride from Shanghai. The town is divided into two main areas, Xizha and Dongzha, both equally picturesque and within a 10 to 15 minute walk of each other. Xizha is more commercial, with shops, restaurants, and activities running from day to night, but also draws much larger crowds. We chose this B&B in Dongzha for one reason, we value peace and serenity more than the bustle. This place is basic, but perfect for what we were looking for. It’s just a short 50 meter walk from the Dongzha entrance gate, ticket required, and our room had beautiful views of the river and nearby bridge. In the early morning, before the tourists arrive, we got to witness the peaceful rhythm of local life from our window. Communication with the owner was very easy. He was responsive and helpful, and even picked us up from the nearby bus station after we arrived from Tongxiang Railway Station, which made our arrival completely stress free. Speaking of locals, Dongzha is very quiet, especially at night. Most of the area shuts down after 7 PM, with little to no activity and minimal lighting, which adds to the tranquil experience. I’ve visited quite a few ancient towns in China, and Wuzhen stands out as one of the few that still preserves much of its original charm and authenticity. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful, authentic stay away from the crowds.

The Alila Hotel in Wuzhen is a fantastic blend of luxury and traditional style, perfectly situated near the picturesque water town. The hotel’s design is both modern and elegant, and the amenities are excellent, from beautifully appointed rooms to relaxing facilities. One of the highlights was the included photography package, ”乌镇阿丽拉-新锐旅拍.” Lesley, our photographer, was amazing! Not only was she talented, but her humor and energy made the entire experience unforgettable. We were laughing non-stop, and her easygoing nature made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Overall, Alila Wuzhen offers a truly memorable stay with stunning surroundings, top-notch amenities, and the added bonus of a fun photography experience. Highly recommended!
