Howard Johnson by Wyndham Toronto Downtown West
2.3/51 Reviews
This is a terrible hotel. Not only is the hotel a dump, the location is awful. Located at the corner of King and Queen streets in Toronto, it is directly beside the TTC Streetcar turnaround. Noisy screeching sounds made it impossible to sleep. The room itself was a health hazard - soiled towels and stained bedspread - I'm not sure the linens were even washed! I found a Bic lighter in between the sheets! The bathtub had peeling enamel and rusty fittings; the tub faucet was lose and therefor difficult to adjust the water temperature; there was hair on the bathtub surround; window in the bathroom had no lock and had been left open. The wall paper was ripped, the door to the bathroom had punch holes;...I could go on and on. It was a disgrace! Oh, and no parking, which was never identified on the website. Shame on you Howard Johnson and Wyndham Hotels!! Someone from your corporate office needs to go and inspect this hotel as soon as possible. I will never stay at another Howard Johnson Hotel! I can't believe they had to nerve to charge money to stay there. The franchisee is clearly squeezing every penny out of this tired and sad building. Stay away! I stayed the night only because I arrived in the evening and had a funeral to attend early the next morning.
Samesun Toronto

Downtown Toronto
I stayed with Samesun in Toronto in Mars 2023. They have a 24 h open reception. The check in went smoothly, the rooms, bathrooms and showers were clean! You have a charger and a small lamp by your bed and curtains to separate yourself from the other’s. The best thing about the stay was the free of charge breakfast in the morning! Coffee, bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit etc.. so nice.

Church and Wellesley
The general appearance of the hotel, the decoration is relatively simple, the most satisfactory is the large room, the kitchen facilities are complete, there are microwave oven, oven, induction cooker, tableware complete, we have bought pizza, milk, do it yourself, the living room is large, there are 2 cloakrooms It is more suitable for guests who have more luggage and stay for a few nights. 10 minutes walk from the University of Toronto, the subway is also close. However, it is best to bring your own toiletries, shower slippers should bring your own

190 meters from the subway station King. Turn to the alley, quiet in the middle of the noise. 650 meters from St Lawrence Market and 1.6 km from Old Brewery. There is a microwave, dishwasher and kitchen utensils in the room. If you need more, you can call the front desk and will be delivered immediately. Check-in time is 3pm, check-out time is 11am.
Chinatown Travellers Home
3.1/5119 Reviews
Dufferin Grove
Either I have been in different place or the place changed a lot. Travelers home was clean, like hospital clean. You cannot walk in in your shoes (which is good) and there are fines for everything that gets broken, so maybe the approach changed over last year. It was not big, but as I mentioned - clean, with laundromat and close to the city center. Good for few nights stay.
The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto

The Harbourfront
The location is perfect, a ten-minute walk from the Union Station and just adjacent to the ferry pier to Toronto Island. The ferry just cost 8.70 CAD for round trip for 20 mins. It is a nice place to visit, especially those who enjoy nature. We booked a room facing the lake, which is highly recommended. It is a real picture taken in the early morning from the window. The room service is nice and the buffet breakfast with lots of varieties of food. I needed to have a zoom meeting, and the internet service is stable. Though it is a paid service, it was waived as I am Bonvoy Member. Do join their membership.
