What an amazing hotel , definitely worth its 5 star rating The hotel is spotless throughout and decorated to a high standard. Everything you could want and need is in your room .The hosts Kim and Trevor go above and beyond in all they do. Came back one evening to find freshly baked scones ,cream and jam in our room , they were delicious. Breakfast has so many choices , I think my husband worked his way through the menu during our week's stay and everything was delicious, great portion sizes you never leave hungry. We didn't want to leave and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay now we've found The Elmdene . Worth every penny

Extremely clean and tidy, excellent facilities everything you would need and more. Decor was beautiful such a large bedroom with a separate mini lounge, so cute. Great choice for breakfast and cooked to perfection. Love the little touches like the tasty homemade scones, the chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge along with bottled water. Our hosts Kim and Trevor are so friendly and helpful, keep up a great job. You are clearly great at what you do. Thanks from Claire and Scott.

Absolutely Amazing! Me and my partner have just visited for the night during our trip to Torquay. This beautiful guest house is so welcoming by the 2 owners. Our room was HUGE and even had its own living room, the bed is so comfortable and hospitality is 10000/10. If you haven’t tried their breakfast you’re missing out. We will definitely be back. Great B&B - wonderfully newly decorated and very well appounted rooms ( we stayed in No. 7) . New bathroom with low showerbassin . Small sitting area with additional TV. Nice lounge and sitting area for all guests. Free Parking spaces. Breakfast was delicious. Kim and Trevor are very attentive and friendly hosts. One afternoon, we were suprised with home made scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam…. In German, we say „ Lecker!“ Dankeschön, You made our stay memorable.

Just returned from a lovely stay at The Elmdene for our wedding anniversary. From arrival to departure both Trevor and Kim were fantastic hosts, both welcoming, friendly, accommodating and warming. When Trevor found out it was a special occasion we returned from our day of exploring to a little gift in our room (so thoughtful) The Elmdene itself is a great establishment. The rooms were well equipped, clean and fresh. Lovely sized rooms and bathrooms. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the sea front, close enough to walk to but far enough away from the sound of the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We were well and truly spoilt. We will definitely be returning to The Elmdene!

We’ve just returned from staying at The Elmdene and we must say that this is a first class boutique hotel, spotlessly clean with a warm welcome on arrival. Great location for Torquay train station, Bus services and a nice flat walk to the centre and its marina. Home cooked fresh breakfast each morning and nothing was too much trouble. This was our first visit and we would not hesitate in booking a return visit. Thank you very much Trev & Kim.

Had a wonderful 4-night stay here on our first visit to Torquay. The Elmdene is a great hotel, impeccably clean, with very well-designed and nicely furnished rooms and comfortable communal areas downstairs. There is also a very well-stocked honesty bar with reasonable prices. The hosts, Kim and Trevor, are lovely and one of the best reasons to stay here. Very welcoming and helpful and deliver a wonderful experience. This includes a lovely cooked breakfast - they also cater for vegetarians - and even a surprise present of homemade scones, jam and cream when we returned to our room one day. The hotel is in a great location which is quiet, near green spaces and close to Torre Abbey and gardens. It is an easy walk to the seafront and restaurants and shops in the town. Also, importantly, it is only a 5 minute walk to Torquay station, which makes it easy to visit multiple places in the area and beyond. We hence did not use our car while staying at the Elmdene but instead travelled by train and on foot. We would definitely recommend the Elmdene and we certainly plan to return! Krish and Bex

I went back and forth about where to stay then chose the Elmdene. A short walk from the train station, the Elmdene proved to be the best choice. We were immediately greeted by Trev who was warm, friendly and inviting. Our room was more impressive than the photos online. There were 2 rooms and a bathroom. The 2nd room had a sofa, tv, mini frig, hot water pot, teas, coffees, biscuits. The bedroom area was beautifully decorated. There was a make up vanity and a really comfy chair, an ironing board, a fan, a luggage rack. I felt like I was at home with all these comforts of home. My favorite item in the room was the mirror in the bathroom. It lighted up! Our breakfast was filling with a large variety of if breakfast items from croissants, fresh fruit to omelette an and beans. We had the most wonderful time staying at this beautiful hotel. It's perfectly located in Torquay and very relaxing. It is spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely with a great en suite. Breakfast was first class. Thank you to Kim and Trevor who couldn't do enough for us. We can highly recommend the Elmdene Hotel.
