The room was fantastic, but the experience was very ordinary. It was almost like they were surprised that our 60 person group was arriving, the first morning, quite early, the breakfast room had RUN OUT of food, cups, cutlery and seats. Totally unprepared. Then, if you wanted a swim in the advertised pool, it was 15 Euro per person. Lastly, we were offered a 25 Euro per person pizza night, this was an absolute shambles, the house wine was off, the pizza was the same type for everyone, and was soggy, just a disaster of a night. Walkable distance to the waterfront, where we had a fabulous seafood dinner.

Tied, scratches on the walls, difficult to operate taps and poor rate of water. Only one small towel rail and no face washing clothes. For Aussies that is a pain. We also had to carry heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs before reaching the elevator. That’s ok for the young but difficult for the elderly.Also I requested a second pillow on our first night and never received it. Gggrrrrr. The website shows a pool but doesn’t mention you have to pay €15 to use it. You cannot get a coffee or any other drink before 6 pm apart from at breakfast. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room either, so you have to try to find something open nearby which is difficult if you are on a tour. I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is marvellous. The staff were all eager, polite, and kind - that's reception, cleaners, and hospitality. I couldn't fault anybody. The room was excellent with a great shower room and gorgeous balcony. I asked for a kettle and it was promptly provided. The hotel is clean and beautifully-decorated with a magnificent, bright foyer. There is outdoor, al fresco-dining. The dinner menu is sparse, but a similar price to a restaurant and good food. There is a decent variety for the buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, some fruit, and a selection of cakes. The hotel is situated halfway round the bay from Napoli and up a steep hill, on Vesuvio. Therefore, you will either require transport or be a fit walker. The railway station is down the hill and buses are rare, as are taxis, and stop at 10pm. The train into Napoli takes 25 minutes. Tickets are €2.6 each way. Take care of valuables on the train. Hotel Sakura is an immaculate hotel with splendid staff

A really nice quiet hotel perfect to visit Pompeii and an early flight from Naples Airport. The rooms are spacious and the restaurant for dinner and for breakfast was excellent. The staff were excellent also. A great find and one I would highly recommend.

In middle of nowhere have to use taxis very expensive No swimming pool use of next door 31euro per couple Only breakfast and dinner no lunch very limited menu Nice view from rooms which are very clean Staff friendly but do not speak English so can get funny at times

A well presented hotel with good parking. It is perfectly situated if your after a base foe the archelogy at Pompeii and Herculaneum. Breakfast was small but of good quality and the place was spotless. Our only issue was the sat nav tried taking us to the rear of the building which isn't a public area.

ho soggiornato in questo albergo pochi giorni fa, mi sono trovato benissimo. La sera mi sono fermato a cena hanno una sala ben curata e attrezzata ad ogni evenienza, i camerieri ottimi consiglieri , da ritornarci sicuramente al più presto !!!

Siamo stati io e mia moglie un posto tranquillo nel verde e nella massima tranquillità si può cenare avendo un ristorante all'interno molto carino e accogliente come primo impatto non sembra ma ce da stupirvi . Un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff .

Ho cenato all'interno del ristorante dell'albergo visto che all esterno le temperature non permettevano Ambiente carino e nonostante fossimo esterni i ragazzi della sala ci hanno accolti con gentilezza senza alcun problema. Veramente una bella scoperta . Hotel alle falde del vesuvio
