Rather than staying in Parma city, this little place on top of Torrechiara just next to the 15th century castle is a great alternative. The rooms have obviously been recently renovated, with a good bed and a hot, powerful shower. Our double room was a little small but adequate. Breakfast was the usual Italian style continental one with cold cuts, cheese, breads and fruit. The owner does not speak much English and we don’t speak Italian but there was no problems knowing what to do. He owns a little shop across the street that sells salamis and cheese so very handy for snacks. There is a great taverna just next door so dinner is also not an issue ( see my other post). Langhirano is the town when there is the largest concentration of Parma ham factories and is just a 10 minute drive away. Beautiful countryside all around too.

Our group of 10 friends had a delightful experience here. In the shadows of Torrechiara castle, you won't find a more impressive setting. The rooms comfortable with great a/c and wi-fi, breakfast was very good, and the staff friendly and helpful (thank you Anna, Laura and Walter). We really enjoyed the restaurant next door ( La Taverna di Castello) and the enoteca (Borgo) right out the front door!

what a charming small "Inn" in a beautiful landscape, beside the castle Torrechiara! The superior room was very well equipped, the breakfast was good, including Parma ham and cheese, and it is a wonderful area to spend 1 - 3 nights.

Ci passiamo una notte dopo una bella mostra alla fondazione Magnani Rocca. Borgo intimo, carino, vivo e vivibile. Giusta anteprima della visita al bellissimo castello che faremo il mattino successivo. Camera perfetta, accoglienza perfetta. Colazione non enciclopedica ma adeguata e soprattutto buona. Unico piccolissimo neo, il kitsch di una parete in falsa pietra e vera plastica…un ultimo consiglio, la “bottega” della struttura può sfamarvi con salumi e formaggi ottimi e del territorio, con delle torte salate più che buone e vi permette di accompagnare il tutto con bottiglie che mi sento di consigliarvi. E con uno sconto in quanto ospiti.

Stanza molto accogliente e profumata, anche se un po' piccola; prima colazione semplice, ma ottima; staff gentilissimo. Si trova all'interno del minuscolo borgo di Torrechiara, a pochi metri dal castello. Per chi soggiorna qui, è previsto uno sconto sui prodotti in vendita nel negozio di fronte, che offre sia cibarie a km zero, sia taglieri di salumi e formaggi e torte di verdura, che abbiamo gustato con piacere. Il prezzo non è basso, ma mi sento comunque di consigliare questa struttura. Se capiterò di nuovo in zona, mi ci fermerò senz'altro.

Un luogo un pò magico, nel castello di Torrechiara, nelle colline parmensi. La camera è apparsa confortevole, pulita, letto comodo. Ottima, seppur semplice, la colazione mattutina, con dolce e salato. Luogo ideale di partenza per escursioni nel territorio o dopo una cena nel sottostante ristorante.

Non ho soggiornato in questa struttura, ma ho avuto il piacere di essere cliente per un brunch che è stato fantastico. Ho ancora in bocca il sapore degli affettati, tutti assolutamente della zona, assaporati insieme a due calici di malvasia che era un nettare! Grazie della splendida esperienza!

Soggiorno fantastico. Ho pernottato qui per una notte per festeggiare il mio compleanno con le amiche. È stato stupendo. Il sig. Walter è un ottimo padrone di casa, davvero disponibile e premuroso. Tutto è curato nei dettagli: dal profumatore per ambienti su ogni piano al bollitore in camera (quest’ultima nuova e pulita). Colazione di qualità con prodotti del territorio. Esperienza indimenticabile che consiglio a tutti, sia chi non conosce la zona e vuole vedere una chicca, sia per chi la conosce e vuole passare una serata diversa dal solito. Torneremo sicuramente, grazie!
