Torrenova Hotels with Wi-Fi

We have just returned from a self catering holiday at this Hotel and found the facilities badly lacking. First of all the location is not what we expected. Supposed to have a sea view but that was restricted due to large trees right in front of most of the balcony. The shoreline contained a lot of litter. Self catering was difficult not even a teapot or sufficient cooking equipment. No oven so that obviously curtailed certain dishes. Be aware that whilst there are plenty of supermarkets they do not stock basics such as cereals or eggs. There is an Aldi some considerable distance away that we were able to use. Our TV didn’t work and a visit from an engineer sorted it until we switched it off and then it wouldn’t work again. We reported it only to be told we would have to change rooms. I eventually managed to get it working as it was tuned in to England rather than Spain. The location of the hotel is up a steep hill so anyone with walking problems would find it difficult to negotiate Especially if carrying groceries. We didn’t use any of the hotels facilities preferring to eat in the apartment despite the inadequate facilities. After all we had booked a self catering holiday !The beach is lovely quite busy with safe bathing. Good bus services to other areas. Use your debit card for a considerable discount. Would we stay there again probably not. Obviously whoever is in charge hadn’t thought it through. This was not a cheap holiday , the flight and room was in excess of £2500. We expected something better having been in Portugal earlier in the year for almost half the price. Sour grapes hardly. Just a warning to would be travellers.

The smell in the room was so bad that I had to open the window to sleep. After staying for a few days, I was only given one day's supply of water. The rest could only be purchased at the restaurant for a fee. In winter, there are not many open shops around. Parking is 17 euros a day, and buffet dinner is 25 euros per person, excluding drinks. The mutton was inedible and very hard. The vegetable salad at night was not as fresh as in the morning. The swimming pool is not heated and you cannot swim in winter.

The hotel is in a good location, with a beautiful beach nearby. Supermarkets, shopping, and transportation are all very convenient. There is a direct bus to downtown Palma. The scenery of the hotel is unparalleled! Located on the cliff, the independent parasol position allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery The hygienic condition of the hotel is average, the toiletries are very difficult to use, the towels are dirty and old, the quilt is not clean, and dried bugs can be seen. The quilt may be damp at the beach, and there are no slippers or toiletries. Please bring your own disposable toiletries. Otherwise there will be a charge The breakfast is great, with many varieties and quite delicious The service staff has a very good attitude.

We stayed for 4 nights all inclusive. Have nothing but good things to say. Fantastic hotel, very clean and good facilities. The staff are a pleasure and very friendly. We booked all inclusive as it was only working out an extra £30 per couple and is worthwhile as the food in the hotel is very good and the snack bar is good. The all inclusive is a little confusing and not a full all inclusive but we knew about the restrictions on alcohol before we arrived and I can see why they do it as it improves overall holiday experience in a well know party area. Small things like having to pay for Pringles etc was a bit strange. But the beers and cocktails are all very reasonably priced so it didn’t affect our holiday at all but make sure to read the small print on the all inc to avoid a disappointment when arriving. The hotel is in a great area as I said. It’s 5 min walk to the magaluf ***** and 5 min walk to the promenade to palmanova which means you have the best of both worlds depending on what you are after (we sampled both 😊). The pool area is nice and plenty of beds and the entertainment was brilliant with something different every day poolside to keep adults and kids entertained. The rooms are nice and very clean. I’ve seen some bad reviews and honestly didn’t have that experience at all. I would definitely return back to this hotel, has a very worthwhile 4 star rating and would recommend to anyone thinking of booking a hotel to the area.

Currently staying at this hotel and today I am very angry and need to make people aware. If you want safety, continue reading. They come in your room with the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and then just apologise for it when you come back and catch them. I had already seen the reviews which state this happening to others and things getting stolen but was too late to cancel..... so here go's Today, I left the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door as I have been cleaning the room myself because I didn't feel comfortable having it cleaned after reading the bad reviews regarding theft from rooms. The sun went in and the rain was coming so we decided to go up around 3pm. When I came to my room I found that the door was open and there was a cleaner in my room just coming out of the bathroom. This instantly shocked me as the do not disturb sign was still on my door (I tied it on with a hairband). I asked the cleaner, what does this sign mean.. she replied ”NO cleaning. I then asked her why she was in my room, she replied with sorry.. picked up the towels and rushed out of my room. I couldn't believe it so I decided to go and speak to the manager, the woman on reception told me the manager would be back in around 10 mins and asked if there was an issue, I explained the issue and she told me it was a mistake and the cleaning supervisor should come and see me..I saw a man come out of the managers office and I asked him if he was the manager, he told me no so i asked the lady to get the manager to phone me. I came back to my room and the cleaning supervisor came to see me, she apologised and told me that the cleaner got confused as it wasn't her normal floor (but the do not disturb sign is the same on every floor). I decided to go back down to the manager and when I went into the office it was the man who told me he wasn't the manager now telling me he is. When I explained to the now manager it just seamed like he didn't care and just said sorry with a smirk on his face, how disappointing. At this point I was very angry and told him I will be telling everyone on TripAdvisor about this and then as I was walking to the lift the woman manager shouted out and threatened to kick me out of the hotel. (How nice of them) Hope this review helps you make the right decision!

Upon arriving at the hotel it looked very clean & the reception staff were friendly in explaining the charges (€100 deposit each & tourist tax). We arrived around 1pm and the rooms were ready despite check in being at 2pm so we went straight up. We stayed on the 4th floor accessible by the 1 stairwell and 1 small (4 ppl cramped) lift. Entering the room, it was very tidy. Aircon worked very well, you are given a key card for the electric & air con as well as the wristbands having a key card to the room. Bathroom very average, toilet seat was not secured properly, some cracked bath tiles which had been patched up. Shower was powerful and always warm so no issues there. Beds were clean and well made, they were on rollers though so would often wake up further over to one side than when we went to sleep. Can’t sit up on the bed against the headboard as it just pushes the bed out. Tv on wall, no remote to be found. Lights worked fine although when everyone is in their room at the same time they can flicker. Plug socks located by the side of the bed, no actual bedside tables but small shelves built into the wall. Bed comfy? Not really. The pillows provided aren’t very supportive but they do the job. Bedside table lights built into the headboard. Purple mood lighting behind headboard. No plugs by the mirrors though (for the girlies so bring a compact mirror) also essential to bring 1 or 2 extension leads. No fridge, kettle or safe. All provided at extra (high) cost. The maid came in and cleaned the room/remade beds and changed towels everyday to a very good standard, no complaints there. Floor was not the cleanest but don’t imagine they mopped or hoovered for timekeeping reasons. Desks in the room fixed to the walls, balcony was a good size with a table and chairs out there. Got the sun in the afternoon too. Watch out for the metal bannister as they get extremely hot in the heat. Door and lock to balcony not the sturdiest but it did the job. Black out curtain worked well. Wardrobe is open and only 6 coat hangers provided, couple of shelves. Food & drink very poor. Breakfast was very limited, undercooked & basic. Pastries were undercooked underneath, cereal choice bare, milk semi cold, no plain water just jugs of slightly cold fruit water. The water/juice glasses were disgustingly filthy, very hard to find one completely clean, in the end I went and bought a 1.5L bottle of water from reception for €2,50 (no, they aren’t complimentary.) The cooked breakfast items ranged from sausages, scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, bacon (if you can even call it that), sometimes fries, sometimes fried potato things, warm beans & mushrooms. Toast was the only thing not frozen & processed. Choice of apple, pineapple and orange juice from a machine, coffee and tea station also available. At the bar, you can order from a very limited list of cocktails. The usuals (margs, mojitos, daiquiri’s) all ranging from €9-12. Fizzy drinks are watered down, the beer is watered dow

Hi, Hola, Hej! We, me and my mum went to this hotell between 3/9-13/9 - 10 days! We did really enjoyed the time here and I did a quick review above earlier, when we’d left and checked out from the hotel; that we recommend this hotel. But here comes a more detailed and a little bit more in-depth review cause this hotel really deserve that! Treatment/Service We’re so thankful and satisfied with the all the staffs treatment. When we arrived, pretty late we get a professional welcoming from the receptionist and did get well informed about the ruled of conduct and about the area around (supermarkets etc.) Each of you was so kind and helpful with exactly everything. You did always get a smile when you passed and if you had a question or something to solve, it was never a problem. Perfect English of course so no worries if you don’t spak Spanish or cathalan. Cleaning Topnotch cleaned rooms and areas every day! Don’t understand what people who says it was dirty is talking about above in other reviews. Cause that’s not true! Always fixed beds, clean floors, clean towels and fresh every single day. The cleaners even fold things in the rooms… We want to give a special thanks to: Betsy - one of the cleaners Paula, Chris and Toni in the restaurants Alicia and her colleage in the reception, unfortunately we don’t know his name but he was the first one we’d met when arriving on the night and he did helped us with many questions and other things we wondered in. The hotel in general To ”only” be ranked with three stars *** this hotel really lives up to expectations and more. Just want to say. You get value for the money. Also has a nice constitution both outside and inside in the public spaces. Rooms The rooms is tiny and cozy, whole the interior is very fresh with light gray parquet floor/furnitueres, white walls and blue/beige details on the textiles. Tiles and beautiful Mallorcan mosaik in the bathroom, shower behind a wall of glass and a shower head with really nice pressure. The room also has a little desk and a TV on the wall where you can watch both Spanish, German, English Chanels and news, even radio. The room is also equipped with enough many contacts for charching several products in the same time. Good storage space and hangers of course. In the bathroom there also is both vegan shampoo and shower gel with aloe vera - and its really nice to use after a whole day in the sun. Soft and comfortable beds. Nice curtains for the sun and a pretty big balcony. Comfort/Facilities/Property amenities At the Hotel, there’s a big and beautiful pool (in the night it has lights in different colours in the edges). In and between the pool is it sun-beds to lay on and a lots of chairs too of course. When you get a place on the sun-bed, you also have a little extra-area to just take a little bath and a lot of place to just sit. Not a problem to get a good place both on the beds and in the chairs.
