We spent a night at the wonderful Torridon on the recommendation of our son who had visited recently. We live in the north of Scotland so took advantage of the wonderful weather currently. From start to finish our trip was wonderful. We know the area well so were aware of the stunning location but the incredible weather made the scenery even more spectacular. From welcome by Fadzai to check out the following the day we were made extremely welcome by the staff all of whom are very friendly. Duncan the sommelier in Bo’ and Muc was another staff member who stood out too. We had a lovely room in the Stables - an amazingly comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The Torridon is surrounded by hills and Loch Torridon and the opportunity for outdoor activities are endless. The hotel provides a walking trail map of those which are accessible from the hotel grounds too. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night but we will definitely be back.

We’ve came here 3 years ago so decided to come back. What’s changed. Not a lot it’s still an amazing location. Needs painting in places which is noticeable. We had breakfast in the main house and one dinner at 1887. Rest of the time we ate in Bo &Muc My feedback is the staff at the Bo & Muc are much more in the ball than the main house. The food in 1887 was lovely but twice we asked the server for another bottle of wine in 1887 and it never appeared. Breakfast felt like hard work. The staff in the main house lacked initiative. We were left waiting to even get a seat despite the server seeing us until the manager gave them a nudge. Asked for toast with my scrambled eggs but it came way after I had finished. Toast was then delivered but no butter, coffee delivered but no milk. Just felt like the 1887 staff are just not thinking. Not the same in Bo & Muc this is a slick operation and the French manager is on it 110%. We were blessed with amazing weather but the glass 1887 restaurant was boiling and no one opened the windows, there were no blinds one couple were actually eating breakfast with sunglasses on and a number of people asked to be moved. I think anywhere else you wouldn’t worry but this is not a cheap please to visit. Service in breakfast and 1887 needs to improve.

We came to celebrate a 60th Birthday and stayed for three nights. We ate in the 1887 Restaurant and the Bo & Muc. The service was excellent from the moment we were warmly welcomed by Fadzai, through attentive service from Leafar, informative and entertaining Whisky tasting from Luis, accomodating arrangements by Connor, and friendly & personable approach from Oliver. The landscape is incredible and the food, hotel, and accommodation are very special - thank you.

This is our fourth year of returning to The Torridon, the scenery is spectacular and the hikes on the properties doorstep are stupendous. There’s kayaking, wild swimming and to match the glory of the great outdoors there’s wonderful locally grown and sourced food served in beautifully designed and newly renovated gorgeous spaces. This family owned property attracts a World Class and global staff who are a delight to engage with and a pleasure to be looked after by. This is hospitality at its finest. Fires are lit, tastes of pine note gin proffered, every detail is taken care of expertly. One chef hails from India, so a really good curry is on the menu too, something to please and surprise everyone. Last night we had the chicken liver parfait, then the super local venison followed by the best whiskey trifle we’ve ever had… and trust me the bar is high on this one! I never remember to photograph wonderful food, it’s too good to dawdle with camera angles. I have taken some shots of the new decor so you can see how absolutely fabulous this place is. We’ve already booked to return again next year.

Such a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We stayed for a couple of nights and whilst it’s certainly not cheap, it’s a trip we will always remember for all the right reasons. Our room in the main house was amazing and so was the service. Tasting menu in the 1887 restaurant was as good if not better than many Michelin starred hotels we have been to. Some lovely walks around the hotel and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Only negative was the Bo & Muc Brassiere which sadly did not live upto expectations in terms of service or quality.

Not five star from our experience. On arrival for afternoon tea, another couple were checking in. The member of staff behind the desk took their details so loudly and I discretely that we now have their names, car registration, e mail address and almost the last three digits of their credit card. The afternoon tea was bizarre. Instead of being seated in the lounge to overlook the water, we were at a dining table. Not particularly relaxing. Whilst the presentation was very good, compared to other five star afternoon teas we have experienced, the portions were a little on the light side. Some of the flavour combinations didn’t quite work. The service was poor. We wanted to add champagne to our afternoon tea but our server disappeared. By the time he reappeared we were finished. Not exactly worth the extra 12.5% added service charge. I’m sad to say that despite the undeniably beautiful location, it’s not really 5 star.

We visited here on 27th March 2025 on a recommendation whilst touring the area - superb location with some stunning views of the area - from entering to leaving this was a 5 Star Experience 🙏 all of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, engaging and courteous - Shane and the lady on the main reception were particularly good…..but all were brilliant 👍 and a credit to the hotel…..Well Done Everyone……it made our visit to the area all the more memorable and special - hopefully we’ll return sometime soon! 🤞

The full breakfast was delicious but Oliver was very rude, stressed and made the whole experience unpleasant. Hope next time I am there I will be able to enjoy such an amazing atmosphere and food in a completely different way. Well done other staff, everyone was great and lovely

We had an absolutely amazing two-night stay at The Torridon. The location is breathtaking—truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been. The attention to detail in the decor throughout the hotel was impeccable, and our room was superb—spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The food was outstanding, especially the fine dining experience. they were a real highlight. The staff made our stay even more memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special mention to Luis at the bar—his drink recommendations were fantastic, and his cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. We left with a few new favorite drinks! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back!
