The Waterman's Arms ★★★★
"Stayed there few times over the years, however under new management. Delighted to say the wonderful Paul and Gayle are now running things- nothing too much trouble, very friendly and already giving the place some tlc. It’s a lovely location and hopefully will be back soon."
Best Western the Dartmouth Hotel Golf Spa ★★★
"Good location and nice surroundings, food was ok but nothing more."
Royal Seven Stars Hotel ★★★
"The room is great with an excellent bathroom! However the stuff is a bit unfriendly and the check in time is 3:00 strict !"
Cbh Dartington Hall Hotel ★★★★
"Whole site is cashless. I had a room with shared bathroom. I paid for basic room and was not disappointed. Thankfully since my last stay a few months previously, televisions have been put into these type rooms too. I did not eat breakfast as they do not cater for coeliac vegetarians."
King William IV ★★★★
"After a disastrous journey and a cancelled train I found myself stranded in Totnes. Luckily The King William took me in! The staff are wonderful and friendly, as were their customers! Being a female travelling alone I felt very safe and enjoyed a lovely steak and glass of red! Wish I was staying for pleasure and not work! Thank you for your hospitality. Leeoa from Speedy Hire."
The Maltsters Arms ★★★
"Great location, great service and top notch food. Prices are commensurate with the quality of the food and wine. Five star starters and mains. We'll definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a great afternoon and best of luck with the new venture!"
The Great Grubb ★★★★
"The host was welcoming, friendly and professional. The bedroom was simple but had all the facilities including hot chocolate sachets, which is a rarity. Bathroom was clean, however there was a whiff of urine around the toilet. Breakfast food was very good, however, it would have been better if we could have served ourselves with the cereal which we could have been eating while order being taken and waiting for breakfast meal. The choice of cereals was limited , a greater range would be better, same with the yoghurts and fruit. Self serve cereals, yogurt and fruit would give more time for the host to take food orders and could eat this rather than waiting for all the food at the same time. "
The Bull Inn ★★★
"Perfect location for exploring Totnes and bus and rail links in the area, also lovely walks along the Dart Valley. Very eco friendly hotel, even the bedding is locally sourced, The food is delicious but only seasonal food is served so for example if you want a salad in the winter you may not find one. Also they didn’t appear to have semi skimmed milk for coffees but these are minor details. Everything was very comfortable and cosy with a lovely vibe and I’d thoroughly recommend staying here. It’s at the top of the very steep high street but if you’re at the bottom and don’t want to walk up the Bob the Bus service a yellow bus can drop you right by the Inn."
Rural house, private heated pool and plenty of space ★★★★
