Diar Illi

We had a wonderful couple of days at Diar Illi! Everything about this hotel was simply perfect—from the breathtaking mountain views and stunning sunsets to the spacious rooms equipped with everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend staying for more than just one night—you won’t want to leave! Thank you for having us and making our stay truly unforgettable!

Heaven with most amazing views and food. Greeted by incredible sweet staff, carrying our suitcases up to our Bungalow, immediately offering mint tea and sweets and then showing us the incredible deluxe bungalow. We were cared for on the highest standard and upgraded to their most exquisite bungalow with private pool. Could not have asked for more. Eating outside under the stars, wonderful homemade authentic Moroccan cuisine, we felt just in heaven. Thank you so very much! We will definitely return. It was magical!!!

Amazing gardens, huge pool (unheated) and perfectly situated with far ranging views. We were impressed by the attentive staff and good food. Some of the interiors in the main hotel, are somewhat dated, and the WiFi was patchy. This did not detract from our stay.

Please don’t make the same mistake that we did!!! We booked for just one night at this Mountain Oasis - you should have at least 2 nights here to relax and enjoy the wonderful setting with tranquil views and exceptional food. The owner Zineb is really a very special lady and she can’t do enough to ensure your stay is perfect. Like others have mentioned, the food is exceptional. We let the hotel know in advance that we are vegetarian and Zineb checked with us on arrival what we would like to eat for dinner. We asked for pasta / spaghetti - cooked a little firm (‘al dente’) as we had some terribly overcooked pasta in Marrakesh a few days earlier and weren’t sure if this was the Moroccan way of cooking it. I know - this is really an over- fussy request, no? At dinner my wife and I were presented with around 6 small plates of deliciously fresh and perfectly dressed salads and 2 large plates of absolutely perfect spaghetti with a fresh tomato sauce and sprinkling of cheese. Everything was absolutely outstanding! For breakfast - let’s not even go there!!!…you’ll think this is a fake review if I keep this up!! The room was spacious and equally well-decorated in very tasteful character as is the rest of the hotel with attention paid to all the fine details. Excellent powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Very good air conditioning in the room too and a large comfy bed. Plenty of wardrobe storage. So, there must be some criticism, no? The only thing that I can think of is the patchy Wi-Fi - it didn’t really work in our room nor from the upper sun decks. This wasn’t a problem at all for us as we switched to 10Gb Moroccan SIM cards (€10) when we arrived in the country for our 2-week trip to use for Google Maps and social media! Once again Zineb, Mell and I thank you and your excellent staff for making our stay so super special. XX
