Castle Hotel ★★★
"Hotel stunk of paint,no carpet on the stairs to the rooms only underlay(there was a lift),room smelt stale,no handles on drawers only bare screws crack in the sink, broken tiles, shower didn't work, paint and dirt on the bathroom door, hole in the wall next to the door. When we complained about the shower and the fact that we had driven 3 hours to get there and wanted to freshen up the receptionist said 'well you don't smell ',we asked to be moved to another room but there wasn't anything available. WILL NEVER RETURN I do have a video of the cracked sink, broken tiles and bathroom door but will not upload"
Howfield Hotel ★★★
"There is no front desk, the hotel that opens the door by itself. The location is very hidden and not easy to find. See the white sign door at the door of the street. There is no elevator, it is not convenient to carry luggage up and down the stairs."
James' Place at Brynawel ★★★★
"Beautiful house Quirky attic studios that provided everything we needed. Lots of helpful info pre visit Lovely host James Ideal for exploring beacons etc Merthyr itself is like many post industrial towns ,tired and suffering from lack of investment in the centre . Some beautiful old buildings needing love. Out of town shopping complexes don’t help!"
James' Place @ Pontmorlais ★★★★
"It's extremely poor value for money, but considering this is the UK, there's no other way."
James' Place at the Taff ★★★★
