Clear and simple instructions for entry and hosts were very responsive.  We stayed in a top floor room, several flights of stairs up, which wouldn’t suit everyone but I’d readily stay again on our next visit to Merthyr.  Well done 👍🏻"

"Centrally located hotel, easily reached by foot within 5 mins from central train & bus stations. Friendly & helpful staff; spacious & clean double room, with a most comfortable bed. Although a phone and hair dryer were noted as being located in my room, I clearly noticed their absence. Luckily, I didn't require either during my stay. Tea/coffee making facilities were most welcome however. Good amount of wardrobe space, and my room was tastefully decorated in shades of green & cream (very relaxing tones, all in all). Fully functioning restaurant & bar on ground floor, and 2 suites on the 1st floor that cater to wedding receptions / conferences - again, highly appealing decor all throughout."

It was easy to access, with convenient parking, but most of all, it felt genuinely welcoming and had a special charm. "The room and the hallway smelt a bit weird. We also had a constant beeping all night but apart from that it was a lovely place very different vibe to usual hotel and had everything u needed in the kitchen was a nice size especially for the two of us would be great for a family of 4. It was also a little difficult to find as it says next to the tiger inn you wouldn’t see the tiger in unless you were looking up as the sign isn’t in a clear place and no one in the town had heard of it ."
