Onyado Nono Toyama Natural Hot Spring Reviews

Our stay at Onyado Nono Toyama was excellent! The location was super convenient for getting around. The natural hot spring bath was incredibly therapeutic, and our room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary late-night ramen was a thoughtful touch, and the breakfast, with its abundant seafood, was fantastic. The service was top-notch. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Toyama!

Location: About a 15-minute walk from Toyama Station. There's a convenience store, the Daiwa department store, and the Toyama Prefectural Library (Glass Museum) nearby. Overall, it's very convenient. Cleanliness: First, you need to take off your shoes when you enter. The entire hotel's hallways and guest rooms are covered in tatami mats, which is a dream for those who love tatami. The bathroom floor is made of bamboo strips, which feels much better than tiles. Every morning, you can see staff meticulously cleaning the common areas, which was a great experience. (They don't clean your room during extended stays, so be aware if that's an issue for you.) Facilities: There's a public hot spring with a large pool and sauna (also open to day visitors, but closed for cleaning from 10 AM to 3 PM). If you don't like public baths, you can enjoy a private soak in the small wooden tub in your room anytime, which is fantastic – it's like getting a private onsen experience at an economy price. The ice cream, yogurt, and massage chairs on the second floor are also a huge plus. Dining: Since I stayed for several days, I booked a room without breakfast. If you decide you want breakfast on any given day, you can just go to the restaurant, swipe your card, and pay when you leave (2500 JPY per adult per meal). It's highly recommended if you love fresh seafood, offering Toyama's 'three treasures' (squid, white shrimp, and tiny rolls), as well as various sashimi and roe for you to create your own seafood bowl. Even for someone like me who doesn't eat much seafood, there were plenty of options like fried dishes, bread, and refreshing watermelon. Overall, I highly recommend this chain onsen hotel.

Rooms are small and compact, but smartly designed, spotless, and fitted with comfortable beds. Outstanding breakfast!

If you book on a weekday, the value for money is exceptional. You get free ramen and Yakult. Also, make sure to book breakfast; the seafood rice is incredibly generous. The service is also excellent, and the staff are very polite.

A great onsen hotel that is not located near a train station, but is still easy to reach via the city tram loop line. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including complimentary late-night ramen, free ice cream after your bath, and Yakult in the morning. A comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Highly recommend - onsen is amazing, with great complimentary services. Super clean, and staff are lovely. There may only be a single person that speaks English - they all carry a little translating machine so don’t worry. Close to nearby attractions and transport options.

Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce. The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths. The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry. The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in. A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists.

Facilities: It's not as new as Kanazawa or Tsuruga, but the room has a private onsen. Hygiene: All good. Environment: The location is great, very convenient for visiting attractions and not far from the JR station. Service: All good.

Location is a short distance away from the Toyama station. But everything else is perfefct. I loved that my room had a small onsen as well, so I could continue to soak in the comfort of my room after visiting the big onsen. Both were great and it really helps to relax the body after a long day. Staff were friendly and went out their ways to assist with my requests. Really 10/10.

We visited almost all the onyado nono in Japan. This one is good as usual, one difference is little private onsen in the room. The water quality is good. Although it is a bit far from station, it offers free shuttle tram ticket (the tram is at the doorstep). The glass museum nearby was worth visiting.

I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand. The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
