1 night 2 day, to go to Sakata fireworks festival I used 3 rooms for 6 families. I was saved by changing the check-in time zone for this convenience. There was one bath for men and women, and it was a bath with a slightly larger bathtub and 3 showers for women. About 4 people entered at the same time. It was available until 12 o'clock at night. I could use it around 6 o'clock in the morning. Breakfast was a dish that made the nutritionally balanced body happy, mainly vegetables, and it was very delicious. I was really happy with such a meal because eating out is the main thing during the trip. After all, the rice is delicious! It was Tsuya hime that day. Be sure to book breakfast and dinner at the hotel as there are no commercial areas around. If you go in winter, you must tell the hotel in advance to let them book a taxi for you. The hotel is not responsible for the pick-up station. Taxi needs to be reserved one day in advance, 1060 yen from Oishida Shinkansen Station to the hotel. There is a lot of snow in winter, so don't think about driving to the hotel on foot. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are great, but don't put some clothes and small bottles of skin care products on the floor of the room when you go out. Otherwise, they are likely to be thrown away when cleaning up. Mine was thrown away.

Because it is an intertype, it is far from the center, but if you walk a little, there is a roadside type restaurant. Be careful if you are planning to drink because you walk accordingly. Convenience stores are a little far away. I wonder if breakfast was not very regional. I don't know the regional nature of Yamagata in the first place. But beans? Imobo? Yonezawa beef and cherry blossoms can't be served at the breakfast of Vijiho. However, the number of items was large and the taste was not bad.

２ minutes walk from Tsuruoka Station. There is an artificial hot spring bath, breakfast is at least delicious, and dotol coffee service can be taken to the room. I just made a little higher comfort twin room, but it is full of eyes and is not easy to use with two double beds. I want you to make a little smaller bed and make a place to spread the suitcase.

Stayed for a night without having any of the hotel meals so will only comment on what I experienced. The hotel is situated in a very small town and it was decent considering Shinjo not being a rather popular destination compared to other parts of Yamagata. Free parking and the double room we stayed in was very huge for Japanese standards. Some facilities were old but still clean. WIFI was quite unstable though and some websites took very long to load. Staff at the reception were friendly and check in check out went smooth. There is practically nothing around the area so be prepared to go there with food if your meals are not included, and if you dont have a car. There is only a visible drug store walkable from the hotel, and I think a family mart convenience store some minutes away. We walked to a big supermarket, which was about 15 minutes walk from the hotel along the river.
