We had a good stay and enjoyed the quirk and character of this hotel. The 12 rooms are situated in various units, all within less than 100 metres of the main reception/breakfast room. Rooms are all quite different. Our Lake View Suite with Terrace was light and airy, with patio doors opening onto the main road and lake, whereas our sons’ split level Superior Room was located on an ancient side street, utterly charming, but dark. Both suffered from the noise of late night revellers. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the manager, polished, engaging, and the go-to fella if you don’t speak Italian. Parking is on-street and the hotel can provide you with a pass which brings the charge down to just €0.50 a day (€1.00 per hour without it, free between 8pm and 7am). We usually managed to find a spot (mid- May) but I can imagine it’s trickier come July. The sweet little breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and served from 8 till 1030am (the lovely staff kindly allowed us to come a little earlier). The town boasts plenty of restaurants within walking distance, nearby bus stops for travel to Bracciano and Anguillara Sabaza, and a ferry in season. But back to the rooms - I suspect guests will report greatly varying experiences given the diffuse layout and styling of rooms. Number one criteria for me is always light - as much natural light as possible, so I was delighted with our Lake View Room which was bathed in it, as well as boasting magnificent views. We also appreciated the provision of a kettle, coffee machine and fridge. WiFi was good, as was our shower, but the supply of bathroom products was as skimpy as it gets, and the quality of them as basic as it gets. Our room was also crudely and cheaply finished, very rough and ready in areas. Our son reported that his shower was weak and ineffectual, but he was otherwise happy with the room. Our stay wasn’t for leisure purposes, we were in the area to compete at the nearby Vallelunga Race Circuit, less than 20 minutes drive. The hotel was a convenient base for us, and if returning we would certainly consider staying again.

This is an albergo diffuso, and our lakefront suite was a few buildings away from the main hotel. We were greeted by our charming and gracious host, Mario, who is the manager. Several guests, all arriving from transatlantic flights and tired, arrived early and at the same time. Mario greeted everyone warmly, and it made a big difference as we all had to wait for our rooms. We were able to order coffee and waters from the hotel’s cafe as we waited for our rooms to be available. Our room, a suite, was large for Italy. We had a beautiful lake view from the bed, the balcony overlooking the lake, comfortable bed, and pillows, and a large bathroom. There was also seating in the room. We will definitely return to this hotel next year for a longer stay. The hotel is in the center of town, walking distance to the bakeries, restaurants, the lakefront is across the street, there isn’t a better location. It was very Italian, the service was very personal, and we really enjoyed the experience. It was worlds away, in a good way, from the Hilton in Dallas where we stayed at the commencement of our trip.

Exceptional hotel in a stunning location. The rooms are beautiful and quirky which were perfect for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Great choice of restaurants right on the doorstep with outstanding views of the lake. Service was amazing with exceptionally friendly staff. Would highly recommend

Our plane was delayed several hours, we emailed the hotel to inform them. We arrived around 930PM and were greeted by the front desk lady who screamed at us for being late as she closed at 6pm. Huh? I told her I emailed her and we cannot call them when we are flying in the air. Anyway, the room we booked had two floors and real beds for our teens (2). We were put into another room with a fold out sofa and cot. This lasted 1 night. Our room should have been next door but we were pushed into a room that they probably did not want. We were told the next morning by the front desk that "booking DOT com" changed the reservation. IUmm? Anyway, the staff after the first nite was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect in the middle of the town. Beds were "ok", nice bathroom and decent space. I would recommend if you want something central but we prepared for a surprise (change in room). Breakfast was croissants, bread, cheese etc... they do not have a kitchen.

This was a two night stopover to see Lake Bracciano and to break up our journey to north Tuscany. I was on a four week trip with a friend around the coast and this was our last spot. I would not like to visit June-August! The through road goes along the stretch where the hotel has its lake view rooms, so is busy and noisy for most of the day and evening. This hotel is a ‘diffuso’ in that its rooms are scattered around the town. Our room was up several steps and on two floors with a terrace leading from the bedroom. It was very clean and comfortable, but the shower had no pressure and the wifi router didn’t work. We were able to connect to the Reception wifi, so it wasn’t really a problem, more inconvenient. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was served outside. Not a massive choice, but the croissants and cake were very nice. There are loads of good restaurants to choose from with lots right on the lake front. We really enjoyed Gens, right next to the hotel. There are some nice shops around the town, but it isn’t very big and we found two nights plenty to stay. As there are restaurants all along the lake front and right across the road from our room, there were a lot of youngsters hanging around until the early hours, which was very noisy. We were lucky to find street parking right across from our room. The hotel gives you a residents pass to display in your car and you only need pay 50 cents per day and display the ticket alongside the residents pass in the car. Worth a visit, but wouldn’t recommend more than a couple of nights.

We stayed at this property for the end of the year and had a great time. Young staff, very kind and helpful. The rooms should all be suites at least so they say, ours was a large room but only one room with a bathroom (very nice). Good cleaning even if it was clear that the split filter was not the best. To improve the details, non-functioning bathroom heater, dangling chandelier wires and small tall things. It could be so much more with little. Still recommended, because the view of the lake in the morning is spectacular.

Really nice rustic style structure. Very kind and really helpful staff. Highly recommended for a short or long stay on Lake Bracciano. Nearby many restaurants for all needs and palates from typical local cuisine to sushi etc.
