Maison Matilda - Design Home

The hotel was charming but creepy vibe. There was no hot water in our room, which was uncomfortable. The owner/manager said the hot water had just gone out and he was waiting for someone to repair it, which is interesting given that another person who stayed there a month or two ago also said they didn't have hot water. The owner/manager did not offer any discount or voucher. I would not stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay during our short break to beautiful Treviso. There are no complaints from us as we were well looked after at this chic and quirky boutique hotel. Communication was excellent prior to and during our stay, access and check in was easy and stress free and with a lovely comfortable room with modern fittings (room 3 on the 2nd floor) we wanted for nothing. A varied continental breakfast is on offer in the elegant dining room and delicious scrambled eggs are also available to order. We particularly appreciated the ambience at breakfast with the low key and background jazz music, spot on for mornings. Thank you to Tazio and Viviana.

Please be aware that there is no customer service at all here. our reservation was pre paid, and we received a reminder 2 days prior to our arrival. They did not have a room for us. They gave us the room that staff uses, and it was "used and lived in" not cleaned prior to letting us in.. Personal belongings and documents were left in the room as well. Bed was very uncomfortable, as well as the shower. We have reached out to the owners 4 times, and absoultly no response. I would reccomend looking elsewhere.

HORRID to the point I am still sick from having to take a cold bath/shower, lack of sleep due to paper thin walls ( entertained by next door´s conversation and snoring), awful smells the minute you step in and worst is NO apology, a denial of hot water by owner and finding the car had been moved from inside to a towing spot outside. Will never ever ever trust M.Mrs. S. suggestions. This is not a curated hotel, unless your sense of design, style and decor are grotesque. And disregard the false advertisement of Italian high end soap. Instead find a sad soap bar, and a minimal continental wake up call with a hot drink and a cornetto. Truly the worst experience in my entire travelling journey. A hostel in the tropics has more authenticity and charm than this dark spot. Rudeness, denial and the worst hospitality ever.

Excellent location and convenient parking. Comfortable mattress and fabulous linens!! Delicious breakfast with fresh OJ, wonderful pastries, and eggs with porchetta and the freshest bread I’ve ever had! Highly recommend. I have already recommended Maison Matilda to a friend who plans to run in the half marathon next year.

I strongly suggest you DO NOT book this hotel. I am in dispute as I write this with them. They charged me for 2 rooms for 2 nights, I never booked 2 rooms. I only booked one room for 2 nights. When we arrived her son welcomed us and clearly asked me if we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and I said no. I was confused and he said they have been having trouble with booking agent. Never thought anything more about it. When my credit card statement arrived they had charged me for two rooms for 2 nights. I have sent her emails (which she normally answers promptly) but have heard nothing. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company. Her hotel is really nicely decorated but feels a bit odd and unwelcoming as things are very dark and eerily quiet. We were so uncomfortable that we checked out early and stayed at another hotel. I DID expect to pay for that night one room since we did not meet the cancellation agreement. Treviso is a wonderful place to visit but I would highly recommend staying somewhere other than Maison Matilda. I am sorry having to write such a negative review but feel I owe it to my fellow travelers who also rely on the reviews on trip advisor.

Maison Matilda exceeded our expectations. Emiliano and Viviana are fantastic hosts and greeted us on arrival. It is an elegant bed and breakfast hotel - while there is no front desk/concierge, the hosts were easily available by WhatsApp to answer questions. The room was tastefully furnished, simple, elegant and comfortable, with air conditioning to cool off the room if needed. It is located centrally, which allowed us to walk everywhere with quick access to many dinner options. We would happily stay again!

A friend in Treviso recommended this hotel and so glad he did. fantastic location, amazing room, wonderful breakfast and above all, gracious and lovely host in Viviana. What a delight to be there for 2 days. a Very peaceful and relaxing property. thanks again Viviana! Ciao.

From our arrival our hosts could not do enough to help and nothing was too much trouble They recommended and subsequently arranged restaurants which were fabulous. Our room was beautiful and the breakfast was lovely The position of the hotel was very central in Treviso and everything could be accessed very easily on foot Would highly recommend for couples, families or for a business trip We will definitely stay again.
