S'o Suites Tropea

The accomodation is in the best location, not even a two minute walk to the main street. Rooms are cleanly and they provided us with us with tea, coffee and snacks on arrival. Would highly recommend this accommodation for your visit in Tropea.

I would be very wary of booking with this property. We booked because it looks beautiful and had everything we were looking for with outside space, sea view and the ability to self cater if we wanted, as well as a separate room for our children. Unfortunately we had our booking cancelled whilst we were on our way to the property. I had been in touch with them in the morning and been messaging with them to discuss parking, without any warning we then received a notification from our online booking agent that the booking had been cancelled, apparently due to either a technical issue or lack of hot water, we never got a consistent reason. This obviously caused a lot of stress and angst for us to try and book an alternative accommodation whilst already on the road travelling, and took the majority of our 5hr journey although we weren't able to find an alternative that had everything we needed. I contacted the property directly to say that we would be fine without the hot water as apparently this was only a 1 night issue but they declined to host us. Despite having frequent message communication with them they didn't once apologise or mention it directly, but did however send us messages over the following couple of days welcoming us to Tropea and providing recommendations of what to do which was obviously a mistake. I don't know whether this was a genuine issue as it definitely didn't feel right and wasn't handled in the way that I would expect it to be if it was genuine. Unfortunately for us it ruined our trip to Tropea, hopefully you will have more luck but be careful and have a back up plan if booking here.
