Let me start off by saying that Antje is one of the most wonderful, hospitable, and charming people you will ever meet. She emailed me directly in the 2 weeks prior to my stay asking if there was anything she could do to ensure my stay would be just perfect. She bent over backwards to help me when my luggage was delayed by Lufthansa, even going so far as to wash my clothes that I had been wearing for 3 days already. She knew that I was traveling alone, but she did her best to make sure that I did not feel alone. She has my vote for hotelier of the year. The food at the restaurant was very good (I generally don't rave about German food). The Kurbis Ingwer Suppe was creamy and delicious. The Kaesespaetzle Im Pflannla was flavorful and hearty. The Zuricher Kalbsgeschnezeltes was incredibly delicious. I asked if they have apfel strudel as a dessert option, they don't, but then Antje told me to wait and then came out a few minutes later with apple fritters and cream. It might be the best dessert I've ever eaten! Overall, I would say that the best thing about this hotel is, by far and away, Antje. She is an absolute gem of a person who bends over backwards to ensure that your stay is as perfect as she can make it. I highly recommend staying here and dining here.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area that is perfect for hiking. You feel very welcome in the hotel as soon as you arrive. The landlady Antje is always available and, if requested, will also give you tips for excursions in the area. The food is sensational and you can regret that we only stayed for 2 days. However, that means that we will be coming back very soon. Thank you for the great time.

Wonderful short trip with my boyfriend. The landscape was quiet and relaxing. The hotel was pleasantly family-run and personal to the guests. We had our own terrace in our room. I really recommend eating in the hotel too, the food is great!

Excellent dinner - with seconds!! Special requests (wine in the room) are happily fulfilled. Rooms are showing their age, but clean and well-kept. Parking spaces available in front of the house. Good base for hikes or attending performances in the Luisenburg.

Wer unbedingt auf höchstem Niveau bei absolut fairen Preisen und frischen Zutaten im Fichtelgirge essen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Das Essen war vom Feinsten und die Inhaberin ist auch ein Schatz. Der Koch in der Köche hat sich aber auch ein riesen Lob verdient. Wenn wir wieder im Fichtelgeirge sind, essen wir auf jeden Fall hier.
