A fantastic experience from start to finish we all loved this place the staff are excellent and we had a room with a jacuzzi on balcony . The facilities are great and the views are fantastic all round . Short drive from Merano which is a must visit .

This was our first time in Marlengo and Merano, and it could not have been better. La Maiena is the perfect size hotel with ALL the service and amenities one can imagine. The views are stunning from the property, and the facilities are wonderful. Beautiful pools and a wonderful spacious spa and sauna complex are easy to access and very relaxing. The massages and skin treatments were some of the best I have ever had! The food could not be better! There is a great variety, with incredible quality food. Fresh breads, fruits, vegetables, dairy and fish and meats abound with each meal. The breakfast and dinner service was very personable and friendly. My wife and I felt like we were friends with the staff. The Waldner Family are closely involved in the day to day management, and are very engaging, friendly and helpful. They really make you feel welcomed and important. We were part of a 15 person hiking tour to the family chalet in the mountains which was wonderful. We felt most relaxed and looked after, and would not hesitate to come back soon, which we are planning on doing. Ken Pellegrino and Mary

What a beautiful resort overlooking the mountains with incredible pools, especially the combined outdoor and indoor pool. Big new rooms, with Nespresso machines and kettle, impeccable service. Family run hotel with love to details. Please make sure you book half board. So amazing food, every day 5 courses with salad bar, bread bar. Breakfast buffet is huge, you can freshly squeeze your own juice with apples from the neighbours apple trees. Highly recommend and will definitely return. 5star plus

We love to come back since 2010 ! This place is beautiful, relaxant and the view of Merano city is awesome from every angle. The hotel is fantastic, everyone is lovely and always looking for making your stay magical! Restaurant, spa, rooms and pools are perfect! We will say thank you la maiena for your kindness, your smiles anytime, for sensational flavours at your gourmet restaurant, thank you for everything. Very well-run hotel with excellent wellness facilities. Breakfast buffet, cake buffet and evening meal leave nothing to be desired. Service very attentive and friendly. Rooms clean and well-equipped. Beautiful location with a view of Merano.

We returned to the Maiena, we found many changes, all very beautiful, but the thing that struck us very much were the 2 beautiful Aufguss of an Italian Man, dressed first as a very funny pirate and then as a Venetian page boy with spectacular elegance. Thank you Maestro, we are regulars at Nordic saunas, but he really impressed us. For me/us, La Maiena is simply the perfect gourmet hotel in every respect. A host family with a lot of heart, the best location, rooms/suites in various categories (I've tried many), all absolutely perfect and very tastefully decorated, as you would expect in this category. The cuisine, be it the more than extensive and delicious breakfast buffet with only the best products, delicious sweets in the afternoon and the 6-course menu in the evening to die for. Wine selection !!!!!!! Super friendly and competent staff. When the weather is bad, which I had during my stay, there are so many options inside, whether wellness or beauty, that you're actually quite happy to be able to pamper body and soul in peace; because when the weather is nice you naturally stick to the outdoor areas, which are varied and classy and there are plenty of leisure activities here. I am a real La Maiena fan, which has simply been my favorite hotel in South Tyrol for many, many years. It should also be noted that you feel very comfortable here even if your partner is absent, the crowd is good, relaxed and classy and the staff, from the bartender Silvio to the good spirit of the house, Franzl, all take great care of you.
