Karuizawakurabu Hotel 1130 Hewitt Resort Reviews

The hotel is very big but old. We have a kid at 5 years old which Trip.com said free of charge, but when we arrived, they need us to pay addition one kid meal. And the next morning, another staff asked us to pay again and took over 10 mins to clarify we have paid. The good thing is their breakfast buffet is good and it is close to 鬼押之出園.

The hotel is big and convenient if you have a car. There is a very nice swimming pool for kids. But it smells mold literally everywhere, in the corridors, in the rooms, the only place that's not moldy is the reception 🥲

The overall service feels arrogant. The hair dryer in the hot spring is incredibly old, and although there is a pool and table tennis on site, they are charged separately even for guests, which was disappointing.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel, especially to those with children! The food was delicious, and the staff were kind to children, which was nice. The rooms were also spacious, and there was a hot spring, so I was very satisfied! However... (It's a little hard to see) A large shard of glass, as shown in the attachment, fell into the room and I hurt my foot. I told the front desk staff that glass had fallen and I had hurt my foot, and asked for a band-aid, but they only said, "We only have one band-aid, but please have it if you want." This hotel does not seem to offer any concerns about injuries or apologies. This time, only an adult stepped on it and was injured, but if a child accidentally eats it or steps on it, it can lead to serious injury.

The address of the hotel, to drive another half hour from Karuizawa Station to Kaori... is a very remote, quiet place! There are even waiters who speak Mandarin/Cantonese at the reception, which is very friendly! The room was large and had a bit of antique flavor, but it also felt clean... The highlight was the indoor heated pool (yen1,500 per head), where the kids really had fun! This one really needs to be tried! Dinner and breakfast buffet though not lost! Overall, it was super satisfying... (kids) Adults also think it's good 😁

I was very relaxed during my 3-day, 2-night stay. I could see Mt. Asama perfectly, which was great. I want to go again.

The previous guest's trash hadn't been thrown away and the towels in the bathroom hadn't been replaced. I was exhausted from having to deal with the staff.

First of all, when we arrived at the hotel, the staff was waiting at the entrance and immediately prepared a cart and took it to the lobby. I travel all over the country every month, and I see staff directing traffic at the entrance, but it was nice to have staff there to support me, especially with my children. It had been a long time since I've seen such a thing. The room was very spacious and there was a mini kitchen, so it was very convenient. The bath was brown and warmed me up very well, and the hot spring was good for muscle pain and was perfect for relaxing my tired body after skiing. The food was especially delicious, especially the salad, and the whole thing was carefully prepared, and the staff quickly took away the plates as soon as they were empty, so I ended up eating too much. The hamburgers and rice balls at the live kitchen for breakfast were the best. I ate so much that I wondered how many carbohydrates I would eat. My grandson loved the donut chest (lol) and ate the pink strawberry flavor, and ate yogurt with the delicious honey flowing from the honeycomb, and left the venue with a heavy heart. The coffee that could be taken back to the room was also a nice service. This time, I was staying at a nearby ski resort for several nights, so I was really glad to stay at this hotel. It was a wonderful hotel with a pool and a kids room that both adults and children could enjoy. It's a hotel I'd like to stay at again.

I stayed there in the winter and it was too hot even with the air conditioning off, and even with the humidifier on it was so dry that I couldn't sleep at night. I tried to hang my bath towels in the room and do other things, but it didn't improve much, which was disappointing.

I was able to relax for the first time in a while. The food, the hot springs, and the rooms were all very good. I'll come back again.

I was surprised at how big the hotel was. The 360-degree panorama from the rooftop was the best. I would like to come back to this hotel again. The food was buffet style for breakfast and dinner, which was satisfying. However, there were a lot of people, so I would have liked to have a more leisurely meal.

We stayed for two nights for the pool. Our 4-year-old child seemed to enjoy the pool, so he went to the pool two days in a row, sliding down the slide, and taking a break in the lazy river. It may depend on the plan, but it's a bit disappointing that even guests have to pay for the pool. The room was spacious and the view was nice.
