Karuizawakurabu Hotel 1130 Hewitt Resort Reviews

The hot springs and views were absolutely amazing! The pool even has a pirate ship, making it great for families.

The hotel is very popular among the Japanese traveller. Lots of Japanese with very limited foreign traveller. The communication can be a bit difficult at the hotel. The room were cleaned but there is limitation of daily cleaning of the room. They only take trash out and change towels. The policy is to clean the room every 4 days. When the hotel is fully occupied, there is a problem with the scarcity of hot water. We have to wait for hot water to be reproducing 2 out of 3 nights we stayed. The buffet is very crowded and the food are pretty much the same for all 3 nights we stayed for both breakfast and dinner. Our highlights are the crab and the beef station for dinner and the live onigiri station for breakfast.

It’s was good experience and recommend for family with kids.

Only that we don’t like the poker face staffs in the dining area even she wears a facemask. Didn’t hear our please to assist us. A girl looks foreigner (not Japanese) Hope the HR Management in dining area to train them well.

Comfortable clean hotel, great food selection, room with private outdoor onsen, room has plenty of space, fridge, coffee machine, overall very comfortable.

Hotel rooms’ size is big.  The facilities are good but we didn’t have time to enjoy this time as we only stayed two nights here and were out of the hotel most of our time.  This hotel is very good for the family with young children so that they can spend time together to use the hotel facilities.

The hotel is very big but old. We have a kid at 5 years old which Trip.com said free of charge, but when we arrived, they need us to pay addition one kid meal. And the next morning, another staff asked us to pay again and took over 10 mins to clarify we have paid. The good thing is their breakfast buffet is good and it is close to 鬼押之出園.

The hotel is big and convenient if you have a car. There is a very nice swimming pool for kids. But it smells mold literally everywhere, in the corridors, in the rooms, the only place that's not moldy is the reception 🥲

The hotel is a bit of a drive from Karuizawa JR Station, about 35 minutes, and there's a toll fee. However, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Shiraito Falls is about 10 minutes away. The hotel parking lot is ample and very convenient. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hot springs are both indoor and outdoor, with an orange-brown color and a mild odor. Unfortunately, the outdoor hot springs don't allow for a view of the sky. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of options and are delicious. This hotel has a very resort-like feel and I'd definitely return if I had the chance. The pool was for children only. I wish there was a pool that adults could use too. I wish there were cosmetics in the rooms. The large public bath had a ReFa shower head which was great!

I'm not sure why this hotel doesn't have a very high score. Is it because of the location? They say there's a shuttle, and if you drive, it's no problem. The platform is great, and the customer service is excellent. The front desk was great, and they gave me a free upgrade.

The overall service feels arrogant. The hair dryer in the hot spring is incredibly old, and although there is a pool and table tennis on site, they are charged separately even for guests, which was disappointing.

It was a very clean hotel with spacious rooms. It was also very conveniently located within easy reach of the golf course.
