Kupferquelle Resort
"I booked this resort for two reasons, 1. The pool so i can exercise and 2. The proximity to Etosha. It was a very good choice. Real good value for money, room was comfortable, spacious, clean and had good views of the surroundings. There is a highway close by where you will hear the occasional vehicles going by but that's easily overlooked when the pass and you can hear the wild. The pool is an Olympic sized pool which was great for my morning swim & exercise & you get to share it with the Ducks swimming by occasionally. Very nice resort and an enjoyable stay, would certainly stay there again for sure. Maybe next time i'll upgrade to the family suite/villa"
Tsumeb Guesthouse Kamho
"The Gesthouse is in the center of Tsumeb. Outside the territory and the buildings look nice, but inside the room (15th) was with streams on the walls and undrawn spots on bed linen. There is air conditioner, refrigerator, teapot. There were no cups, but at our request they were brought. Towels only one. The hanger is not. The shower is so arranged that the water flows more to the wall (take a shower is difficult). Wi-Fi worked stable. The staff tried to help."
Villa Africa Guesthouse
"We had once again a wonderfull time at this quaint paradise. Staff are friendly, food is good. Lovely vibe to it. Rooms are fitted with all the most important amenities with a special touch everywhere. What an lovely stay. Manager was very Profesional and welcoming "
Ghaub Nature Reserve & Farm - One Namibia
"We stayed 2 nights here primarily to break our return journey from the eastern Kavango region to Windhoek and to experience their white rhinos on foot. The main building dates back to 1895 and green lawns and stately palms are enclosed by a low stone wall. With its location in the Otavi mountains, Ghaub is peaceful and away from it all with amazing sunsets, sunrises and night skies. We had 2 large rooms with a terrace – spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the chef produced some excellent desserts. My husband, adult son and daughter did the morning walk to the rhinos. The guide offered to take them to the other rhinos about 12km away as well, but the group declined because it was getting hot. I’d planned to walk, but had an upset stomach from malaria pills, and chose the afternoon drive instead. The vegetation was a mixture of thorn bushes and then opened up onto a grassy plain where we saw springbok, red hartebees, zebras, bush buck, and a dikdik, not to mention a group of rhinos. The guide told us we could get out and approach them, keeping a distance, since they are accustomed to people and would have walked up to us. The different groups of rhinos are protected around the clock by ONE Namibia (they also protect the rhinos at Waterberg). We saw the night guard take over from the day guard as he completed his shift. Fabulous experience. There is nothing quite like seeing a rhino in the wild to truly appreciate it, especially the more gentle white rhinos. Our guide drove us across the reserve to see the other rhinos as well and once again we were able to leave the vehicle and approach them on foot. We can highly recommend this encounter and appreciate that revenue from these tours go to support the rhino patrol. Recommend at least 2 nights at Ghaub."
Conductor's Inn
Tsumeb Backpackers & Safari
"We booked this hostel but didn't stay here and it was unfortunate that the booking was not refundable. Having said that, this may be a good budget choice for those who wants to do the Etosha safari."
Callies Game Lodge Safaris
"As a family of 5 adults, we stayed here only for one night at the start of our 9-day Namibia self-drive before heading to Etosha National park the following early morning- about an hour away. The direct booking was made very easy via Hilga and the owner, Christie accommodating our needs. Unfortunately, due to car issues, we very very delayed and arrived late at night. We were getting concerned but Hilga and Christie reassured us that safe driving was important, they would even meet us at any place and pick us up if necessary. When we did arrive, they gave us great dinner and a then cake to celebrate a delayed mother's day on behalf of our sons. We had to leave early in the morning, a packed breakfast was given. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the wonderful rooms and settings. Overall excellent staff, owner, food and setting. If we are lucky enough to return to Namibia, will definitely rebook. "
