Hotel and restaurant on the highest part of the city, practically adjacent to the entrance portal of the castle. Parking not easy. However, for 10 euros a day a valet service will arrange your car for you. An electric vehicle charging station is also available. Our room was located on the top of the 3 floors, without a lift. However, being a period building, all in beams, there is the lack. In any case we were offered an alternative to the mezzanine floor. We preferred to keep the "de luxe" one on the top floor with a new bathroom, very large and separate from the toilet, underfloor heating, independent entrance and room with two windows with a flowered balcony with a beautiful view of the castle and the roofs of the city. Very quiet and comfortable room. The windows and walls also perfectly isolated from the frequent ringing of the nearby churches. Breakfast, with a fairly varied choice, both sweet and savory: from poppy seed cake to smoked herring, could also be consumed on two terraces overlooking the city. The hotel's location is strategic for visiting the historic center: practically a stone's throw from the market square, the rathaus and the cathedral. We also used it as a starting point to explore the area: from nearby Stuttgart to Ulm and characteristic Swabian villages and castles. We were satisfied with our stay at this property. Perhaps the only "questionable" points are the not cheap cost of 198 Euros per day for a de luxe room, breakfast for two guests and parking and the "German standard" quality of the restaurant tried on the last evening. In any case the structure is recommendable.
