I started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you. My rating does not include the quality of food...

Let’s see/ the place looked beautiful online but it was DEAD. Service is slow and non chalant and they care way more about trying to upgrade you than accommodate you. I did enjoy the free bicycle but it ended at 6 pm. It’s a $40 USD cab ride each way to go catch dinner on the hotel zone with others. The room at a hot tub that only ran cold and takes 40 min to fill. The tv remote would not switch to English The ac stopped working at 3 am They only left 2 bottles of water for whole stay in Mexico where you can’t tap. The room fan didn’t work The water pressure was super low. The water turned off from 4-7 am as in no plumbing ! Oh and I paid for a $75 USD dinner and then proceeded to get extreme food poisoning from it. The phone to call the front desk was not answered till 7 am. They told me it was probably from a mosquito” and that they could only extend my checkout 1 hour without charging me another $100. I was so sick I couldn’t leave the room. No one came to help w bags. When i did leave at 1 pm the lady was like “you’re my very last checkout” as if it was my fault I got food poisoning at their resort. The taxi to get to hard rock riviera maya was $108 USD… all around … not a good stay even if the property looks pretty.

I have stayed in so many all-inclusive hotels, and this one is one of the most rubbish. There is only one restaurant and no beach. Very very bad attitude! We were assigned a house without hot water, and communication with the front desk was fruitless. We had to ask Ctrip to help communicate. It took 3 hours to change us to another one... Really invincible garbage, the Chinese people avoid lightning!

The property was very clean and well maintained. I appreciated the tropical forest feel of the grounds.

Management was not accommodating. A member of our group lost the resort bracelet in the pool and she was charged 100.00. She only got her money back because her roof was leaking badly and she had to switch rooms. 5 out of the 10 bracelets came off and we reported the issue but they still felt it was our fault. She was following a protocol and that was the only word that came out of her mouth.

There is no beach. You either walk 20 min to a public beach or pay for a resort to let you in their private beach.

Nothing that was advertised about this property is accurate. The property is old; there is only 1 pool and 1 restaurant. Staffing was inadequate. The quality of the resort is a negative 5 stars. They were not sufficiently stocked with basics such as bathroom towels or pool towels. This should not be a VIP property at all!

I would give them a 3 stars. The hotel is about 1 1/2 -2 hours from the airport depending on constructions. With the construction it took us 3 hours to get here. The staff was very friendly everyone one was nice and helpful. I came to celebrate my 30th birthday. Upon arrival at the hotel there was a lot of construction so it was hard to get into the hotel.Outside the hotel there was military escort which was kinda of scary but made me feel safe. When checking in they presented me with a nice refreshing drink. At the time there wasn’t many ppl at the resort the most i seen was 5 couples. Went to check in the room was decorated for my birthday. Jacuzzi was nice but didn’t get in it took too long to fill. As far as the food it was ok we ordered room service at first. Once we found out the restaurant had much better food. Nice swim up bar alcohol is bottom shelf but the workers kept the drinks flowing. On my 3rd day here we didn’t have any water they told us it was goin to be down from 10:00pm -12:00pm the next day however it didn’t come back on till 6:00pm. Everyone ended up getting in the pool to feel at ease. Once the water came back on the hot water was brown so we didn’t have any hot water. I’m glad check out was in the morning. Friday night a nice guy name ulies he got the party started Friday by doing karaoke night at the bar. Another guy name Joan can help you book excursions. Resort is ok for a quiet vacation they need some upgrades. They also didn’t refund us for water.
