Piazza Castello Suite

The location is exceptionally good. The square itself is a tourist attraction; the palace, museums, and opera house are all within easy walking distance. The film museum, Egyptian Museum, and both train stations are all within a 20-minute walk (the city has many arcade-style buildings similar to those in China, allowing you to walk almost entirely under their shade to avoid sun and rain). The hotel has only a few rooms, but the building was originally a palace, so the rooms have high ceilings and the roofs still retain some original features (picture 7). My room had two balconies with excellent views of the square, overlooking the palace in the distance and the museum converted from a castle across the street—perfect for taking photos. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and well-equipped, and there was even a kitchenette—basically everything you need. There wasn't a 24-hour front desk, but that didn't affect the overall experience.
