Hotel-Garni Jakober - B&B Und Appartements ★★★★
"On the 23rd of April 2025 I stayed at the Jakober hotel in Tux with my family and I had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel was not exactly central or close to the ski slopes in reality It was a 10 minute drive but the Hotel had very nice wiews, the hotel Is also close to a nice Trail that goes along a clean and stunning river with lots of nice places to take photos. At First I had the impression that the hotel was understaffed but then I realised that the Woman running the hotel was very polite and professional so She made made out experience even Better. The hotel also had a Ski room service which wasn't the best but It was nice and next to It there was a ping pong table and a spa which are wonderful services and I am glad that the hotel offered them. The room on the other hand wasn't as nice Because It was really old style so It was like a Little apartment with two big and comfy bedrooms with bathrooms whilst also having a kitchen; everything was clean and well-kept. In the end we had a really good experience so I would suggest this Hotel to anyone visiting the Hintertux glacier."
Valara - Alpine Art Hotel ★★★★
"Great location, just in the front of the Gletscher station. Super food. Renovated restaurant, bar and spa. Rooms partly renewed, but the older ones in great tyrolean style are bigger. Most rooms with the balconies with the Gletscher or valley view. Skiroom the the ground floor with boots heating and shelves dedicated for each room."
Hotel Pension Sonnleiten ★★★
"Cosy hotel run by wonderful family. Tasty food, beautiful hiking routes around. Easy access to the Hintertux glacier or the city of Mayrhofen. Don’t miss to visit the spa center in the nearby hotel for a reasonable price. "
Hotel Alpenhof ★★★★
"Best way to enjoy Austrian alps. Best service and food amazing. This hotel has the most amazing views. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. This was our sixth visit to this hotel, and we are already planning for the next one. We recommend staying in the Alpenhof 100%."
Hotel Höhlenstein ★★★★
"Excellent hotel to stay at. Friendly staff, well-maintained and clean. The food is also excellent. The dinner restaurant is a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. It could be a bit more."
Auenhotel ★★★★
Sporthotel Kirchler ★★★★
"Interesting and tasty dinners, very friendly and helpful staff, good wellness, good facility for skiers."
Aktiv- & Wellnesshotel Bergfried ★★★★★
"Our stay here has almost spanned ten days (we leave in two days). We don’t see snow in Western Australia so our mouths were wide open at the abundance of snow and arriving on 6 December, it was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas 🎄 We were collected from the train station by France who was super friendly and give us some local advice. This family ran hotel is superb! Every inch of the hotel is so well thought out and in all honesty, if we were not skiing each day, the hotel alone would offer so much to do. We felt guilty leaving this beautiful place to hit the piste. The staff are all super helpful. No request is too much. So sorry for not remembering all of the names but just a few to mention here: Hannah, Anna, Alexis, Bianca, Johann, Isobela, Patrick, Jonathan, Doriana (sorry if misspelt) and the driver who give us our complimentary trip to the slopes each day! 😊 During our stay we have only had very minor feedback to give directly to the hotel. Nothing to spoil the stay but very minor detail that may put the icing on the cake for some staying guests. It does not reduce the five star review hence our feedback will be directly to hotel and not on here as it may not impact most and would be unfair given the efforts they go to, to make this place as close to perfection as possible. Our 11 and 12 year old said “this place feels like we have landed in heaven.” We have previously stayed in fabulous places so our standards are very high. The Bergfried hotel has met and exceeded our expectations. Some guests were on their eighth stay. That is testament to the standards of this hotel. There is so much we could say about this place but we loved the surprise element of discovering all this hotel had to offer and would hate to take that away from any future guests. Thank you for our wonderful and memorable stay so far. We are not looking forward to checking out 😢"
Hotel Klausnerhof ★★★★
"I found it very inconvenient that the boss was shouting at the employees in front of the guests. I think it is quite unprofessional. On the other hand, the kind waitress who spoke several languages made our experince a lot better."

Hotel Alpin Spa Tuxerhof
"This was our 2nd year at Tuxerhof; we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The Schneeberger family and their team are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is extremely comfortable with a huge spa area. The kitchen were careful to provide delicious gluten free food for my coeliac husband. We had a very relaxing holiday. The area is perfect for walking and the scenery is very pretty. We will be back!"
Brugger's Genießerhotel Lanersbacherhof
"Another great ski trip to this lovely family run hotel. Everything was “just right” from the friendly welcome, well equipped comfortable rooms and outstanding food and service. The location across the road from the Eggalmbahn and ski bus stops is very convenient so it is easy to access the slopes and be back in time for a swim and sauna!"
Alpenbad Hotel Hohenhaus
"Fantastic hotel in a beautiful resort. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed good skiing, great dinners, comfortable rooms and a beautiful spa area with pool. The team at the front desk and in the restaurant and bar were all super helpful and looked after our group in every way. The games area on the lower floor was a perfect way to chill after dinner."
Hotel Pinzger Tux
"The business has a warm, family-run atmosphere and offers delicious traditional dishes that are clearly made with care. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality of the food largely justifies it. Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat diminished by the receptionist, who came across as rather unfriendly and seemed easily offended when we raised questions regarding billing. A more professional and open approach to customer concerns would greatly improve the overall impression."
Kinder- & Gletscherhotel Hintertuxerhof
"This was a fantastic hotel to stay at. The location was great for access to the mountain. The staff were friendly and looked after me very well. I loved the food and the combination of buffet and table service dinner worked well. Thank you for looking after me so well!"
Hotel Neuhintertux
"very good location, right next to the glacier cable car station and apres ski bars. cosy, very pleasant alpine style hotel with attentive staff and great food. you can spend evenings in the bar by the fireplace and a professional and very nice bartender will make the best drinks😁very good Place"
Schönblick Appartements
"What a wonderful complex. Super friendly welcome, beautiful apartment, ideal location and wonderful saunas. The apartment number 5 is really great. Modern, sleek and yet cozy. Good beds, luxurious bathrooms and a private sauna. I don't think you can find anything more beautiful in Tux. Combine that with a great host and all you need is snow. By bus to the glacier or to Eggalm. You'll be there soon. Bakery 50 minutes away and the bus stops almost in front of the door. We enjoyed."
Gasthof Pension Madseiterhof
Aparthotel Dorfplatzl B&B
"Super warm welcome in a mega well-kept and very tastefully furnished apartment hotel in a colossal natural setting, which has a lot to offer physically active holidaymakers in winter and summer. From one of the two mega stylish saunas, in: a) the well-stocked hotel bar and straight to pizzas that are second to none in the in-house restaurant, or b) prefer to go to the in-house supermarket and then cook your own meals in your own well-equipped kitchen in the apartment, here you are "spoiled for choice" and wake up in very comfortable beds the next day, fit for new action ... of course also with the option of a sumptuous breakfast buffet with fresh delicacies from the region in the restaurant ... or completely relaxed and comfortable with messy hair in your pajamas with the first coffee of the day in your hand on your own balcony with a view of the nearby 3,000m ... Everything depends on your own taste: mega"
Berggasthaus Hollensteinhutte
"In February, we returned to the Höllensteinhütte - and enjoyed our stay as much as before! We enjoyed every single moment of our stay - not least because of the great and personal hospitality of the Erler family (with Michael, Thomas, and Hubert at the personal frontline) as well as their service staff - warm thanks to the entire team. The Höllensteinhütte is a marvellous blend of a traditional Tyrolean alpin hut and a boutique hotel. Rooms are newly renovated and nicely furnished (for recent pictures visit their web page - pictures here seem to be mostly from before the renovation). Also for this year's return, we were enchanted by the location of the Höllensteinhütte on a calm mountain plain (Alm) again - looking from the balcony at the sun lit peaks in the morning, enjoying a hunter's tea (Jagatee) on the porch after "returning from the valley" in the afternoon, or enjoying the star-sprangled night sky before closing the day. This year, we brought snow shoes. We had tried them before on smaller hikes and enjoyed them during our stay for hikes starting "right in front of the breakfast table". Stepping out of the hut and stepping right in to the nature, hiking up into the mountains and returning without having to jump into the hustle and bustle of the valley was a special gift to us. We also enjoyed the half-board in full again. All food was very tasty - a lovely and wide selection of local produce for breakfast and a delicious 4 course dinner - for which we would happily award a personal "star". The Höllensteinhütte is a clear recommendation from us to everybody who would like to enjoy the calmness of the nature at a Tyrolean mountain hut, yet in reach to the Tux skiing area, combined with the comfort of a boutique hotel, and topped off by personal hospitality. We are determined to return."
