A fantastic location, right on the longsands . We had 3 rooms in total for our family celebration all good sized rooms , nicely decorated by house keeping for our big birthday . breakfast was excellent value and a good choice . Feel this could be a real 5 star hotel with a few extras - coffee machine in rooms - nicer dressing gowns ( ours were very old Just some small extra touches would make it stand out more from recent cheaper competition Would stay again for a special occasion

Just returned from an amazing 3-night stay at The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth! The room (330) was great with had a stunning view of Longsands Beach, the staff were wonderful and the breakfast each morning was a perfect start for the day ahead. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Lovely stay in this gorgeous hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and our room was very elegant. Very comfortable bed, excellent shower and everything was spotlessly clean. Very good choice at breakfast with large portions and the food was beautifully presented. We’ve always wanted to stay and we’ll definitely be back!

lovely atmosphere and lovely pub the food is great and you can get a roast any night of the week ! please never change. personal message to Trevor - please get a keg of a good hoppy beer - Almasty Session or Two by Two but on keg would transform this into a sort of dreamy utopia you would have to prise me out of

I recently stayed at The Grand Hotel with my nephew and his friend. My nephew accidentally left a personal belonging behind which was very important to him. A fantastic and extremely helpful member of staff named Gavin generously offered to deliver the item off for me at my home address. This meant an awful lot to both myself and my nephew who was genuinely upset at his own forgetfulness. Gavin went above and beyond to help me and I could not have been more grateful to him for taking the time out of his rest day to return this to me. I could not speak more highly of Gavin, the Grand Hotel is lucky to have such a young man as a member of their team. Thank you Gavin!

This was just perfect. We were in room 218 - a superior room. The view, as anticipated, was wonderful The room was very comfortable and spacious The bathroom was magnificent The wi fi was very good with no issues The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful The public areas were all lovely - the stairwell is magnificent. The drawing room is very comfortable and we spent a very relaxing evening eating and drinking All things considered, it was a perfect 2 night stay. We will return …!!

What a fantastic quality hotel with charm and character in perfect seafront location. What’s not to love! We stayed a few years ago and enjoyed it, but our recent stay was fantastic. Friendly staff that were keen to make our stay go without any problems. Often in these traditional older buildings they can appear tired but the grand is looking and feeling like new. Great effort has been put into its high quality restoration. Lovely attention to detail.
