We stayed at this hotel for one night after an incredible safari and on route to Yala. We were upgraded to a fantastic room with an amazing balcony and views, it was so brilliant to hear the jungle sounds at night! The pool was beautiful and the service was very good. We were staying out of season so it was very quiet. We arrived at the end of dinner and breakfast which meant the food was sadly very cold but there was a fair choice. Would definitely stay again.

Chosen as it is close to the national park and to be fair it’s clean, air con worked perfectly and the rooms had plenty of space, pool was clean if not a bit busy. Dining area was clean and the service was excellent and the food okay.As a place to stay close to the national park it ticks the box. It is a busy hotel and if that’s your thing then that’s fine.

Friendly and helpful staff who are the highlight of this hotel. Rooms are large but rather dated, especially the bathrooms but overall no issue. The big let down is the food offering which is very poor value, expensive for mediocre food. The breakfast in particular is by far the poorest of any we have had in Sri Lanka. Cold coffee from a long standing jug in a dull environment rather more reminiscent of a 3* business hotel in Slough.

I gave 4/5 because it ended up ok! We had booked a deluxe room but I was particularly disappointed with especially the bathroom - small and out dated - old bath with shower curtain. I mentioned this to reception and was told that this room was actually a superior deluxe room. I said it didn’t really even feel deluxe, never mind superior! Anyhow, they were great about it and moved us into a suite which was way more than we needed but much better quality. Nice area and nice swimming pool. I would say the food was ok but not that hot (temperature) - better second night than first - and not as good quality as we have had in other places.

Oh Dear! This has been a huge disappointment, the worst place we have stayed in since we arrived in Sri Lanka. The place is grubby, all surfaces are sticky including the dressing table area, all arms on chairs and particularly the tables in the very underwhelming restaurant. It may be that when setting up the table following the previous occupiers they brush it down, no sign of a wipedown! The wine selected to go with our meal was not removed from the list but was not available, the other recommended option offered was a very sour unpleasant Chenin at greater expense. I have worked in hospitality and this standatd of hygiene barely covers the absolute minimum expected in a greasy spoon let alone a hotel people have spent good money on. Mould in the bathroom, cold water showers the list goes on. The whole place should be closed deep clened and re-furbished. Wolud Not recommended.

On arrival the hotel looks beautiful, however , the whole place is grubby and sticky. It’s been along time since we have stayed anywhere that uses shower curtains- and ours was not clean! The bannister walking from reception is sticky, as are all surfaces in the room. The whole place needs a top to tail deep clean and refurb. The food is atrocious. What could be delicious local curries are served cold . The breakfast buffet is uninspiring and only instant coffee and tea was available. Avoid at all costs !
