White Hart Ufford- Stamford

On Sunday 28th, we had a fantastic experience at the white hart in Ufford and a huge part of this was due to our server Sophie. Sophie was a kind and professional server who had excellent knowledge of the menu, the recommendations that she gave was spot on and she really balanced professionalism with friendliness. Other than this, the food was amazing and the place was well kept. Would come again

My first visit here in years and was immediately struck by the lack of warmth Inside. Everywhere looked very tidy and attractive, but the place was so cold. We moved tables to sit in front of the fire. The waitresses kept coming up and tried to get the fire going, adding one log at a time which was hopeless. Whilst we were eating a Cleaner dragged a dustbin through the bar area and took it outside and left the door open! It was absolutely freezing. My celeriac soup was pleasant, but the bread wasn’t very good. I will visit here again in the future, perhaps in the summer.

A poor Sunday Lunch, Lamb cold in a greasy gravy. the vegetables were ok. The place wasn't particularly warm, we were seated in a sort of passage. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

We went for breakfast and it was very tasty and good portions. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here for one Sunday night at the end of September 25. The sunday dinner was excellent as was the service. The room was very comfortable with a good shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was the best we experienced on our road trip. Top quality ingredients. The granola was to die for. Highly recommended.

We are so very pleased we entrusted our small, intimate wedding to Dan and his team at The White Hart. From the first meeting we had with Dan, we knew the day was going to be very special and just how we wanted it. We sought Dan’s expertise and guidance with our proposals for our big day and this was extremely helpful in setting out timings and what would be possible. With the usual minor changes during the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, nothing seemed to be too much trouble at all. We were really put at ease and there never really felt like there was any stress in the organisation of the day at all. What we found very helpful was the recap and run through of the menu and drinks as we neared the day itself. Once again, Dan was on hand to provide suggestions for small amendments. The day itself ran very smoothly thanks to Dan and his team. They helped us decorate the Orangery how we wanted it beforehand, and the beautiful setting of the venue has given us a load of really super photos. The food choices were spot on, and a number of guests remarked that it was the best wedding breakfast they’d ever had. Our guests that chose to stay overnight all commented how lovely their rooms were. Breakfast the following morning was equally as enjoyable, with ample menu choices and again, nothing was too much trouble. Our sincerest thanks to Dan and his exceptional team at The White Hart. There is nothing we would have changed or could find any fault with … we couldn’t have asked for anything else to make our special day such a perfect day.
