Good service, caring staff needs more cleanliness especially bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional. Rohit and Tariq provided great service

A very pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent (within 3 km from Sri Mahakal Temple), the food was good, and the entire staff deserves special mention for their warm, courteous, and helpful behaviour. I stayed in a Luxury Room, which was spacious and comfortable. However, I felt the room could have had better storage facilities. The washroom was well equipped, though slightly run-down and in need of some refurbishment. also the housekeeping service was a little slow. Overall, a comfortable stay with great hospitality, with just a little room for improvement.

This is my second visit in the same hotel & I stayed 4 nights this time. Last time i visited in Jan 2026. Hotel Rooms are Good, location is good 5mints driver from Mahakal corridor. But the food served this time in their Modak restaurant & the unprofessional behavior of their F & B Captain MR RAJENDRA BHARGAV is very disappointing, he is so arrogant, egoistic & rude that it is next to impossible to take any of meal in their restaurant in his presence. Very disappointed this time with their restaurant services 😒

Hotel Atharva on bye pass road is an excellent proposition now --- away from the dust and traffic jams yet near the main Shree Mahakaleshwar Mandir, Ujjain. The location is therefore very good and convenient for people visiting the temple for the late night aarthi. The atmosphere is serene. The rooms are spacious with all basic ameneties provided and is kept clean. The noise level is very low. The housekeeping, room service staff as well as the front desk staff are very courteous and helpful. The hotel houses a good veg restaurant within its premises and the spread at the restaurant is very good. Option for breakfast to be included is also available. The spread at the breakfast table is good. Inshort a value for money both by way of convenience to visit the local temples as well as comfort for stay.

If you are planning a spiritual trip to Ujjain, Hotel Atharva is an absolutely incredible place to stay, but I want to start with a quick reality check to help future travelers manage expectations: the Mahakaleshwar Shikar (temple spire) is not actually visible from the rooms. If your entire reason for booking a hotel is to have a direct, continuous view of the temple from your window, you should look for accommodation closer to the temple gates. However, here is the catch: if you choose a lodge or hotel right next to the temple just for the view, you will completely miss out on the level of luxury, comfort, and top-tier service that Hotel Atharva provides. You simply won't get this standard of hospitality anywhere near the crowded temple area. If you prioritize a pristine stay, amazing food, and world-class hospitality over a literal temple view, Hotel Atharva is hands-down the best choice in Ujjain. I would choose comfort and great service over a window view any day. Highly recommended!

The experience was good, but the restaurant staff's behavior was just average, and it took a very long time for the food to arrive after ordering.

Amazing hotel and I booked a room with a Shikhar view. It was an amazing trip for 3 days. Felt so blissful journey overall and food was good. The staff is good and polite.

Avoid at all costs! We were robbed of our money! & our safety was compromised, we had booked 3 rooms were all Girls travelling & at night 3am(early morning the hotels staff entered our rooms & robbed our monies. we have the CCTV footage of the incident form the Hotel Lobby. Worst Experience in Hotel stay. The Management after complaining about the issue has not bothered to even get back & apologise for this , Nor the manager nor the owner has bothered to take any responsibility & has been avoiding our calls when we made a complaint,. Extremely disappointing hospitality. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
