Nala Veli Beach & Spa

10/10 experience, we had never visited Ukulhas before but will definitely be coming back to Nala Veli! Rooms are clean and spacious. Food in the bistro is great and the location is situated right on the beach! We even had a romantic beach private dining experience and I would recommend! Staff are so friendly and helpful, they also helped us go on some amazing excursions during our stay!

Linda and Widari are world class hosts, going above and beyond to ensure you have the help, information & support you need. The facilities are good for the price, (considering island rates of course). As a solo traveller, one generally doesn’t necessarily get the individual attention & support they require. However, I haven’t felt as comfortable elsewhere. Knowing I can simply reach out to them for help any time. Harbour to hotel transfers are organised. There is construction next door but this is not under anyone’s control. Noise (if any) is a minimum and stops early in the evening. The restaurant is by the sea. Recommend watching the sunset from here. The spa is fantastic! Extremely professional and the masseuse (Ariani) is absolutely incredible!! Delightful stay all around. Eternally grateful to Linda and Widari for accommodating my every request and truly making this an island home away from home.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and the staff prepared a beautiful table on the beach with dinner and a birthday cake – everything went perfectly. The accommodation is clean, peaceful and ideal for families. Great location near the beach. Snorkeling gear and other equipment are available to borrow, and the massages and food are fantastic. Highly recommended!

Jamsheed, the hotel manager of Nala Vili Hotel on the island of Ukulhas in the Maldives, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He organised a very special anniversary meal for me, James, and my wife, Audrey, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. In addition, Jamsheed personally arranged all of our sea excursions, including swimming with whale sharks, manta rays, nurse sharks, and a night fishing trip. Each experience was completely private — just my wife and me — rather than being part of a large group, which made every trip feel incredibly personal and special. We also have personal videos of all our trip experiences. The anniversary dinner on the beach, with the sunset as our backdrop, was truly spectacular and is an evening we will remember forever. Jamsheed’s staff went above and beyond to make the night feel magical. We enjoyed several meals at Nala Vili Hotel, all beautifully prepared and served by wonderfully attentive staff. Before arriving, we did have some reservations due to construction taking place on both sides of the hotel, as other hotels are currently being built. Our concerns were mainly about noise and dust; however, we are very happy to report that neither was an issue at all. The local council on Ukulhas, together with Jamsheed, has worked closely with the building companies to address these concerns. Construction noise is restricted to certain times of the day so as not to disturb residents or guests, and the building sites are properly sheeted to prevent dust from spreading. All the meals we ate at Nala Vili were wonderfully cooked, and the dining area was immaculately clean. As for noise, the only noticeable sounds were from a lively Italian family and their friends — all fellow residents — enjoying their evening with music, dancing, and singing, which only added to the warm atmosphere. We were fascinated by the island’s development since they gained their independence from the UK in 1965, and asked Jamsheed many questions about the people and local life. He kindly arranged a personal tour for us with a wonderfully intelligent and well-informed young man named Irusham, which gave us a much deeper appreciation of the island and its community. Totally positive experience, just spent 2 wonderful days in this Guest house simple, clean and well organized. Easy access to the beach with restaurant on the sea where you can enjoy unique moments. The friendly and very helpful staff. Provides all the necessary amenities. This is a good and most recommended property.

nice local guesthouse right by the beach with clean, simple rooms. The staircase to the upper floor is steep, but our luggage was brought up and collected for us. Breakfast and meals with tables on the beach were very tasty. Mosquitoes were present, which is normal, but spray was available everywhere. The island itself is under construction, with building work ongoing, but the locals are very friendly. The best fruits — papayas, mangoes, watermelons, and mandarins with their own floral flavor — we had on Ukulhas.

Wonderful patience and availability. They even let us stay till 2 pm the last day to have a shower and to please the experience till the end.
