The Joy Hostel

To be fair Joy hostel is great for transit nights. The location is great. I was satisfied by choosing Joy Hostel. If you’re searching for nightlife in Ulaanbataar there is ***** club nearby lol😭😂

Did not enjoy my stay! The whole hostel has not one lockable door! Anyone can just come inside. Our room also just had a curtain instead of a door. Random people showed up in our room around 3 am. I think it is better and safer to stay somewhere else! There is also no frontdesk, half the hostel is a construction side and the common room was dirty. Someones food was standing there for days according to other guests.

Nice and clean room. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Generally it was fine fir soli traveller. Price was good and easy payment

No hot water and poor management

It's an ok hostel for a night. Seems a little disorganised. Some rooms have only a curtain separating them from the corridors of the building. There's also no curtains on the bunks like some other hostels. Not the best but could've been worse.
