UB Friends Hostel

I stayed here after my late-night flight into Ulaanbaatar, and it was a good money-saving option. However, it's quite difficult to find at night. I'll note it here: the hostel entrance is on Sukhbaatar Street, behind a gate, and the gate entrance is on the left side of the building. Google Maps shows the wrong entrance. My driver dropped me off incorrectly, and I walked around the entire building before accidentally finding this gate. It was scary, especially at 3 AM in complete darkness. I think there are enough showers and toilets, though some are in the hallway near the entrance. In the morning, it was dirty after other guests used them, but it was immediately cleaned, and I showered in a clean space. They offer complimentary coffee and tea, and there's a kettle you can use. I needed to order a taxi, and a staff member helped me, which I really appreciated. They also provide disposable slippers, a towel, and bedding.

I chose a female-only dorm room with 4 beds. In my morning rush, I accidentally left my camera behind, and it's now gone. I'm not sure who might have taken it, as there were new people checking into the room daily. If you're planning to stay here, you'll need to be extra cautious as there's not much privacy. I didn't report it to the staff, as I felt it was my own mistake. The hostel is very conveniently located near Genghis Khan Square, and the staff were very helpful.

This place is only a 5-minute walk from Sukhbaatar Square. They provide brand new bed linens, duvet covers, and pillowcases. The toilets and showers are plentiful, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. The atmosphere is also fantastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ulaanbaatar!

Solo traveler. I was looking for a practical and cheap option for one night in Ulaanbaatar and this was great. The staff were kind and the showers and toilets were clean. I recommend it.

This hostel is right in the city center, just a 3-minute walk from Sukhbaatar Square. It's very cozy and clean. The small lobby has a really pleasant atmosphere. I was very impressed with the staff, especially one woman who helped me with a taxi to the bus station early in the morning. I was worried because I didn't have a taxi app. Much appreciated!
