The room was clean, very spacious, had a fan, tea & coffee. Lots of mosquitos in the bathroom though! Breakfast was standard, bacon, eggs, tomato, toast. No replacement available for other dietary requirements. The staff are friendly, but need some supervision.

Very nice renovated hotel in the small town of Uniondale. Regardt very helpful and friendly and secure parking for car. The breakfast was great! Bed bit squeaky 🙈 and lots of mosquitos! Though great experience. Thank you very much Regardt and staff!

Comfortable, safe accommodation with history is what you get, at highly affordable rates. We were accommodated in what must have been two dormitories each originally probably intended, in the time that this was still a school hostel, to sleep five or six pupils. Pleasantly furnished and respectfully restored by the Pretorius family, this former ruin is now a showpiece of what care and rejuvenation can achieve. Given half a chance, I would return. The service was personal, the accommodation just a notch above the expected. Please retain this level of attention to detail and comfort. Many more need to come to enjoy this. Also consider as conference venue: it will easily house several dozen delegates in comfort.

Lovely stay with Reggie at his hotel. Comfortable & friendly service with yummy breakfast. Rooms are warm & very comfortable with TV. Will go there every year. Uniondale a quaint place to visit. Very happy with Hotel

We spent one night in this charming hotel. Régi and his staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble👍 Excellent breakfast served in dining room that was real “blast from the past” Would definitely recommend it and we’ll certainly be back!

Such a warm welcome to a lovely old hotel. The amenities are basic but clean and everything thing one needs for an overnight stay. The manager Reghardt, was an absolute lifesaver when my vehicle started giving problems. On a Sunday morning during breakfast, he arranged for a mechanic to look at my car, accompanied me there, drove me back to the hotel and invited me to stay as long as it took for my rental car to arrive. One cannot ask for more.
