The room is clean and tidy. The surrounding is very quiet. The facilities are not too old. The service is not bad. I had a good sleep at night. The surrounding scenery is very good. Overall it is not bad. It is not far from the surrounding towns.

What stands out about the Coach House Motel is the courtesy and hospitality we experienced. When our room was slow in warming up, the host promptly moved us to an adjacent room, and delivered homemade spring rolls to boot! We appreciated being told when we booked that we should plan on eating before we arrived, as there were no close restaurants. This is a family-run, guest-focused motel, and I'd stay here again if we were fortunate enough to return to northern Lake Superior.

My husband & stayed at this motel in 2021, while moving from Kenora to southern Ontario. Recently we stayed again. We noticed that the room we were assigned had some upgrades in soft furnishings, bathroom fixtures & other items. I especially appreciated that each bed had a luggage rack at its foot. The rooms are not air conditioned but with windows front & back, a cross breeze is almost always present to provide cooling ventilation when needed. In cooler months, the baseboard heaters work well. The owners work very hard to keep each room very clean, as others have written. The grounds are also well kept. At the moment, the owners are improving the drainage behind and beside the building. This is not a trivial investment; it will protect their building & enterprise for years to come.

We had a lovely experience here. The host greeted us warmly, showed us to our room and made sure we knew she was available if we needed anything. The room furnishings were dated, but the room was immaculate. Very, very clean and spacious, with all the amenities. The window views were lovely from both front and back. The grounds were beautiful. It was a very pleasant end to a long day of travel to sit outside and watch the sun set over the lake.

This is the place to stop right on the highway. From my first inquiring call to our check out the couple who run this Motel are so friendly and helpful. We felt at home right away! There’s a beautiful beach to swim at only a few minute walk away which for us was perfect after a long drive. The views are amazing! We will be back! Very clean.

This place was perfect for our one night stay on our way home. Super clean, a tipical old fashion motel very well maintained. The owner was very nice at the check in. I will stay here again. I recommend this place without doubt…

This was a fantastic location along our Circle Tour of Lake Superior. The beds were a little bit small (two doubles) so we got two rooms for our family of four, since our two teenagers are very tall, and because the price was so affordable (especially for us as Americans and with a favorable exchange rate). It was exceptionally quiet - I couldn't believe how quiet it got at night. Traffic on the highway just stops. It was a bit dated but it was very, very clean. Eli was super nice and friendly, and we would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip through Canada.
