Spotlessly clean. Fantastic location. Maybe a better welcome pack would be nice. Very quiet and relaxing. All chalets have privacy and the park is beautifully planted with trees and shrubs. We will return. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint

Fab lodge Canterbury Reach Lodge Retreats. No.5, an Appledore - sleeping 6, elevated position up incline driveway, few steps to door. Lovely outlook from veranda. Whitstable coastline & Canterbury central easily reached. Lovely Easter family break.

Stayed for 3 nights 27-30th December as a break with my husband as we work over Christmas. The lodge was perfect for 2. Spotlessly clean ultra modern, all new appliances. Comfy bed and sofa. Will definitely be visiting again. One criticism would be that they need a better stocked shop for basics. Nearest shop 4 miles away

Can not fault this place. Stayed Monday to Friday and chose this place as it looked a good place especially as it was for our wedding anniversary. Easy to find even though it was getting dark as they have a lit sign at the entrance. Check in was quick and told where to park and where the lodge was. Stayed in number 24 and parking was right outside. We stayed in the Rochester 2 bed lodge and there was so much space. The 2 bathrooms were massive along with the kitchen and living area. We took out 2 small dogs and the decking area was secure so we never needed to worry about them running off. Good heating, comfy beds and nice and quite. Just what we wanted. based on our experience I would not hesitate to recommend here and will defiantly be returning. Morning of leaving I noticed the cleaners were opening the windows and cleaning the frames. I can not fault any part and wonder if the negative comments were based on this place or somewhere else. There is enough space between lodges so unlike caravan parks noise was very low. Yes there was only 2 teabags and 2 coffee sachets but we brought enough for the week and this is not a negative. Do remember if using dishwasher you will need capsules for it. This is our second stay at a Darwin holidays and with the many years of holidays I would say its been the nicest place to stay. Thank you. Also the petrol station down the road was cheap.

Sadly not the normal Darwin Escape welcome or standard ! The lodge although clean, lacked any real comfort or homeliness - no cushions on the sofa, no welcome pack or extras that make a break special - booked for three people and only had two tea backs left for our arrival !A no smoking sign stuck right in the centre of the lounge didn’t help make you feel particularly welcome !We reported the oven not working properly on the first day and it was still not working 7 days later when we left ! Also the site information pack was well out of date as it said they offered a shop, with a full list of products and prices which on visiting they didn’t , just a few touristy hats and things for kids! Overall disappointing for a company that we always relied on for good service, a warm welcome and that little bit extra.

On arrival we were greeted in reception by lovely friendly lady who booked us in with ease, she explained where to park and where our lodge was. Our lodge was located in a very good spot, extremely clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower room was large and the bath was perfect for 2 people to share. We had one small complaint on the 1st night as the fan in the oven wasn't working, we told the lady on reception on the next morning who radioed the maintenance man who came.to reception within 2 minutes, we explained what had happened to him, we headed out for the day and upon our return to our lodge in the evening we found that he had fitted a brand new oven as a replacement for the one which was faulty, we couldn't complain about it at all!!! We had a fabulous week and will definitely definitely be returning to Canterbury Reach resort.

The most amazing beautiful place it was truly stunning. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything you needed for a perfect holiday so quiet and relaxing. The most relaxing place ever. A lovely place we visited many places from here the castles were stunning.

When arriving we thought the lodge looked lovely, it’s a quiet park with a very small reception area/overpriced shop.. the guy at reception was friendly enough. The lodge looked clean when we first entered but then when looked at closely we started to see it wasn’t. There was some stains on the wall next to the bed and looked like they had been there for a while. The kitchen blind had small slat missing, the bathroom doors were grubby.. no cushions on the sofa, the picture on website when booked had completely different sofas, these must be new and were lovely but some cushions would have helped with the hard sides! There is also a hole at the bottom of the patio doors where they don’t seem to shut properly and sorting our stay a lot of spiders made there way in.. also there was a very skinny cat that kept trying to get into our lodge every day and even in the evening. Overall the lodge was adequate for our stay and a good base for Canterbury but I wouldn’t rush back to stay.

My partner and I spent four lovely days here. We totally enjoyed our time here. Was peaceful and relaxing. Our lodge was clean, comfortable and spacious too. Everything we needed was supplied. Nice and out of the way of the huddle and bussle of town. And Canterbury only being a few minutes away. The staff were very helpful and nice and Dave was very knowledgeable of the area. If you want to party here, you’ve come to wrong place, but if you want time to chill have a quiet getaway then this is the place to come. We totally enjoyed ourselves and highly recommended.
