Fantastic location in the Orara hills The Santa Fe cottage is wonderful with an open fire and cosy decor These are fully self catering cottages so you need to bring food but everything else is provided including firelighters and matches. Order your Firewood in advance from the office. Thoughtful touches like fluffy dressing gowns and a rug for cuddling up on the sofa much appreciated The Owners are friendly and helpful thanks so much Only small point is the WiFi (no signal at all at Santa Fe cottage and poor throughput even if you go nearer to the router).

Friday Creek Retreat was absolutely beautiful and such a lovely place to unwind. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and genuinely looked after. The retreat itself is peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by such a calming atmosphere. Everything was beautifully maintained, and you can really feel the care that has gone into creating the space. What stood out most was how kind, helpful and accommodating everyone was. They made our stay feel really special, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed and very grateful for the experience. I would absolutely recommend Friday Creek Retreat and would happily return again.

If you're planning to stay here, I would recommend booking directly through the host rather than through Wotif, as it appears the host is not partnered with them. Booking through Wotif meant communication with the host was limited, which led to a few issues. For example, I wasn't informed that items such as firewood and milk needed to be requested in advance, so they weren't available on arrival. There was also an issue with the hot water, although the host responded promptly and had it fixed the following day. I would recommend avoiding Cabin 9 if possible, as the spa bath has a hole that has been patched with silicone and due to its position, it appeared difficult to keep clean. Unfortunately, the weekend wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped due to several issues, many of which stemmed from booking through Wotif rather than directly with the host. I would also suggest that the property's advertising be updated to better reflect the current facilities. For example, the hammocks shown in the listing are no longer available, which I only discovered after arriving. On a positive note, the views were beautiful, and the property was peaceful and quiet. As with many rural locations, there are a lot of mosquitoes year-round, so it's worth bringing insect repellent and planning accordingly.

A nice place for weekend escape and long holidays. Short drive to Coffs Harbour town centre and other local attractions. Clean room with excellent valley and mountain views. Pet and kids friendly environment including a swimming pool and BBQ area, water ponds, creeks, cows to explore during the stay. Owner is nice and very helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay , it was lovely and very relaxing , the room was great , bed comfortable and room clean and tidy , few minor maintenance issues that I did send text to owner about them , creek was heavenly and spent quiet a bit of time at the creek Only disappointment we had was the WIFi Was terrible we couldn’t connect to it the whole stay and the lake/ dam was very overgrown with long grass , we tried fishing and wanted to go to the middle to fish and but it was ingrown with long grass so couldn’t go there , rest of grounds were immaculate , we would live to come back again and stay at a different themed cabin to change it up

Beautiful stay, lovely cabins with peaceful surroundings. Will need to bring a cooking pan for next time haha. Very clean, neat and tidy. Probably recommend more towels in the bathroom. Lovely owners helping keep your stay relaxed and comfortable. Amazing amenities, dvd movies, books and games. Lots to do and keep entertained while close to many places to explore close by. Would go there again. Definitely a wonderful place to stay and take a little holiday.

One of the bedroom bed sheet were dirty, kitchen exhaust wasn’t working, electrical fry pan had missing cable and when went down to bbq area and had no gas supply. Please check the house is to it’s standard before giving out to the customers.

The serenity is just breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting outside , just relaxing and had breakfast. The cabin inside is equipped with everything u need.
