Jianzhi Hotel (Urumqi People's Square)

Facilities: The hotel has a strong Xinjiang ethnic character. The room was spacious and the bathtub was excellent – perfect for a relaxing soak after the long drive from Nalati. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean, no complaints. Environment: Central location, very close to the subway, and a popular '网红包子铺' (internet-famous baozi shop) right next door. Service: Good attitude. I left something in the room and housekeeping quickly found it.

This stay at the Jianzhi Hotel in Urumqi was such a pleasant surprise, it absolutely deserves a five-star rating! The location is incredibly convenient, right next to Nanmen Metro Station. Across the street is Wanyancheng, and you can walk to the famous Xiaohe Prince restaurant in just two or three minutes. The Grand Bazaar is only a 10-15 minute walk away, making it super easy to explore, eat, and buy souvenirs. Getting to other city attractions or catching transport for your return journey is also a breeze. The room itself had a simple, clean, and refreshing style. It was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was super soft and comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. Despite Urumqi's dry heat, the in-room air conditioning and fresh air system worked perfectly, preventing any stuffiness. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was even a mini-fridge. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and helpful throughout my stay. The value for money here is outstanding. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Urumqi!

I had a fantastic experience! I accidentally left some clothes in the wardrobe when I checked out, and the staff messaged me on WeChat to let me know and even offered to mail them back to me. I'm so grateful! I highly recommend this place. The location is super convenient, close to the subway, and great for dining and city walks. I also loved the smart speaker (Xiao Du) for controlling the lights and air conditioning.
