Absolutely top-notch all the way! From the immaculately clean room, to the stunning views of the ocean, to the conscientious work by the staff in giving topline care, to the great breakfast bar. Quinta da Magnólia is the standard bearer for quality service and product. Book a stay there on your next trip to São Jorge… you’ll be glad you did. And look for Alex when you arrive. He speaks very good English and goes above and beyond in ensuring customer satisfaction.

Absolutely charming inn right outside Velas. Our room was lovely and the staff was helpful and kind. The views were gorgeous and the pool looked so tempting, although we never got a chance to take a dip.

Nice and cozy hotel with a beautiful infinity pool and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is in a small village and the sea pools and some restaurants are only 15 til 20 minutes walk away.

5 Stars all the way. Beautiful and stunning views. We were lucky to get the deluxe room away from the main house with its own jacuzzi and overlooking the open fields and a clear view of Pico island. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Loved it.

This was a great place to stay for 2 nights while we visited São Jorge. The staff was nice, the room was super clean, and the breakfast was very good.

This small hotel has a beautiful setting with a view of the ocean and Pico island in the distance. We were in one of the little “house” rooms away from the main building. Our large room was modern, with plenty of space to place our luggage. The bathroom was nice and also had plenty of room. We had a small deck with chairs in front of our room. The only drawback is the remoteness of the location. If you don’t have a car, it is a quite a walk to restaurants, grocery stores etc. The front desk helped us arrange taxis for us. Breakfasts were probably the least interesting of the 15 hotels we have had so far on this trip..
