"What a lovely little gem of an hotel! Set out in the countryside for a calm, relaxing experience out of the rat race. Absolutely amazing staff, each and every one of them friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, warm, and inviting. The restaurant is set out with little areas to sit apart from other guests, making it personal and relaxing. The à la carte menu was what was on offer the night of our stay and it was amazing, presented well and very tasty. Be prepared for the bill at the end. Two people starters, main, desserts, 2 small wines and 2 pints £167.75. I would recommend staying as it's a lovely place just check the menus online so you have an idea of the costs."

"Went with my partner & 2 grandchildren for Sunday lunch. It was excellent beautifully cooked there’s nothing negative I can say, great portions, hot & tasty the gravy is to die for. Will defiantly be returning. The staff were fantastic & attentive to the children. Top marks to the chefs!"

"We drove from Caerphilly today as the reviews were great for meat burgers , I rang ahead as I’m a fussy vegan who likes vegan food cooked in fresh oil and the kitchen confirmed they do this anyway ❤️ Wonderful staff, beautiful views and grounds . The food was amazing both meat eater and vegan very happy !! Lovely meat burger and vegan burger had no fake meat insight !!! They are totally dog friendly and even have a field dedicated to dogs with jumps , 10/10 visit Highly recommend this place and they have beautiful rooms too Staff behind the bar and server were lovely Go support this amazing pub with rooms ❤️ We will return ❤️"

The New Court Inn

"We stayed for two nights at this lovely pub in the beautiful town of Usk. Very friendly welcome and we were shown to room 3, a double room with ensuite overlooking the pub's beer garden. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and very homely. We had a reservation for the restaurant on our first night which was superb. Great pub food, piping hot and tasty. You order breakfast on the evening before from a tick sheet in your room and I must admit our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we couldn't finish it. Ordered less the next day and it was spot on. Enjoyed our stay very much. If you want a shiny bling place to stay then this is not it, but if you want somewhere with a bit of character, good food and a warm welcome, then come here."

Raglan Lodge

"Cheap hotel at £50 ponds per night. Room was livable however water leaks and buckets in every corridor. You would expect that paying that price. However! Parking eye will fleece you if you don't make sure your reg number is stored at the garage opposite. No one asked me for this and I ended up with 3 days of tickets... I appealed only to find 2 nights dropped and fine reduced to £20 if I shut up and paid immediately ... Obviously I've appealed again.. this place is a total con AVOID!! ......"
