I’m very disappointed with my stay at Casual de las Civilizaciones Valencia. Check-in was poorly handled. We arrived at the stated check-in time of 2:00pm but were left waiting until 3:30pm before being told we could access the room, with no explanation or apology. On the first morning, the hairdryer in our room malfunctioned badly, emitting sparks and smoke and tripping the entire room’s electricity. This was a serious safety concern. There were no staff on site, so we had to message for assistance and were told the electrics would be fixed shortly. I was out for the day and expected this to be resolved. However, when I returned at 8:30pm, the room was still without electricity. I had to chase again as there was no one on site. We had to sit darkness before the power was finally restored, which gave us just one working socket. Even then, no replacement hairdryer was provided. In addition, there was no housekeeping service during our stay. As a result, we did not receive clean, dry towels, which added further inconvenience and frustration. Between the delayed check-in, lack of on-site support, absence of basic housekeeping, and a dangerous electrical fault that left us without power for most of the day, our stay was significantly impacted. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.
