Mulberry Suites

1.Arrived in the morning - rooms not yet ready, normal - had to leave my lugaage in the reception-area, where no one was present ( receptionist ill); not a locked area, everybody could come into the hotel. 2. room and bathroom were ok, but not cleaned one day; the windows opened at an outside corridor, leading to other rooms - everybody could step into my room. Unpleasant. 3. breakfast was basic, served in a small room, more tables downstairs but no tray to take your plate, cup etc downstairs 4. very bad experience with reservation of a taxi for sundaymorning at 4.45 a.m. The receptionist ( only present till 4 p.m.) was going to do it and send me a confirmation. Did not hear from her; after 20 min I left the hotel and asked: she had forgotten to make the reservation, but would do it , gave me the phone number of the driver; again promised to send me the confirmation . Nothing the whole day, the drivers number did not work: very upstting, not knowing if the reservation was made or not. Ffinally called the emergency reception in the evening: yes she had made the reservation.... Next morning, i talked to her, told her that i wanted a reliable company etc. Finally she showed me that she made the reservation, confirmed the phonenumber of the driver; i also asked for the name and phonenumber of the company, in case the taxi did not show up - but happily he did! It gave a lot of stress and spoiled my day Altogether: I would advices to avoid this hotel.

We stayed in an apartment which was very noisy. It was on the main road and the windows were very old. We were kept awake from the singer in the bar around the corner, woken early in the morning by noisy workmen on the street. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was very basic and served in a small room. Also very strange that reception closes at 4pm. If you want a relaxing stay in Valletta, do not stay in the apartment.

Lovely boutique hotel just a block from the city center. Comfortable room, large bathroom, big bed. Great selection of breakfast foods. Staff was very helpful. The hotel is on a quiet street, so even though it's close to the bustle of Republic Street you'd never know it.

The location is fantastic, in the heart of Valletta. The staff was very attentive to our requests, very professional and kind. Wide selection for the breakfast, and comfortable rooms. I recommend it
